My husband and I had a fantastic private walking tour of Porto with Caoi! He is passionate about the city he now calls home. He is well educated not only about Porto and Portugal but also international issues. We finished our tour having gotten some in depth history and having seen many of the highlights. We felt ready to hit the city running over the next few days. In addition to the tour, Caoi provided us with lots of useful information about additional things to see and do. Highly recommend!

Monica was an excellent tour guide! She was so knowledgeable about the interesting history of Porto, the landmarks we visited, and some hidden gems, including a historic cafe and an off-the-beaten-path, family-owned restaurant with incredible food, including the best octopus we’ve ever had. (And “Portuguese portions” are a real thing, y’all! We’re from Texas where everything is big, but the portions in Portugal are even bigger!) This was a great way to get to know a little about Porto at the beginning of our trip and helped us plan the rest of our stay here. Highly recommend!

Very glad I took the tour upon arrival. It definitely got my into the right mindset and helped to appreciate the city and the history behind it so much more. Gianfranco was awesome for the whole journey and kept the attention (and his helper did as well:)). You could tell that he enjoys sharing his knowledge and it was a real pleasure. In case you are debating - don't. Just go for it and don't miss your opportunity:)

We arrived by cruise ship and had some difficulty with transportation from the cruise port. We were told it was difficult to get a cab from the terminal so we purchased the cruise ship shuttle to Gaia. With our group of 16, we arrived and Gaia and needed to meet our guide on the Porto side. There were no cabs around and when I contacted our guide, Gianfranco, he graciously offered to change the meeting location and meet us at the bridge. However, while I was on the phone, the Celebrity rep was able to arrange cabs for us. There is construction everywhere and cabs are slow –if you can walk, it is a much better option. We booked a private tour and our guide was very informative and it was easy to tell that he was interested in helping us learn more about Porto. He was very knowledgeable and patient with our large group. He ensured that we saw everything we were interested in. We ended the tour at the Porto waterfront which is lively with lots of music, buskers and bars.

Our guide Gianfranco Stanzione was superb. He is very knowledgable and has a lot of info about what to do and see in Porto. I can really recommend this guide and tour.

This was among the best of many walking tours I’ve taken throughout the world. Felipe is a Professor of History and a very skilled presenter. He delivered an interesting and well structured introduction to Porto and Portugal. All of the stops were relevant and he encouraged questions and group interaction. This tour is an excellent “first day” option to quickly get oriented in this beautiful city. I highly recommend this tour!

Excellent tour - I would give 6 stars if I could! Gianfranco is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Porto and Portugal - he’s got a great sense of humour too, so the trip, though long (almost 3 hours), was fun and entertaining.

Gianfranco was the perfect informed amusing and clear story teller of Porto. We learnt a lot and retained much of it such was his descriptive style

My friends and I booked this tour last week and even in the pouring rain this was a FANTASTIC tour. Porto is a beautiful city and our guide Felipe knows the city and it's history incredibly well. He showed us some great hidden spots and shared some interesting history. You can't go wrong booking this tour.

The Best of Porto free walking tour was amazing and very informative. The guide, Gianfranco did an excellent job, you could see and feel his passion for history, the city and jis job. The tour didn't really include too much walking or climbing stairs, therefore is enjoyable also for elderly people. Can only recommend 😊😊

Filipe organized such an amazing tour, with detailed explanations of the sites and the fascinating historical stories ! The three hours passed so quickly that I did not even feel it.
