Great experience all around. Couldn’t ask for a better day! Jan, our guide was awesome! She was the driver, teacher, photographer, chef just to name a few of the service she provided. The group was small so I felt like I was just hanging out with friends I just happen to meet on this tour. Thankful for a memorable day!
Best compliments to Marty, the tour guide.
5 * , very professional and good mood and with knowledge of the trail, mountain and history.
🔝👍🤗
Since the Mountain Rainier was closed, we changed our plan to National Olympic Park. The trip includes a variety of geographic scenery, the falls in forest, beautiful lakes and coast. Sean is a professional and knowledgeable tour guide. He could introduce the history and fun anecdotes along the trip. He is also very responsible and careful towards the guests. I actually booked the trip the evening before the trip. Luckily, the operator and the tour guide catch me up without any problems. I do enjoy the trip a lot.
My fiancé and I had an awesome experience! Our guide Sean was excellent, informative and made our tour of Mt. Rainier extraordinary! He was there each step of the way; over the mountain, through the old growth forest and waterfalls to make sure each person in our group was having a good time. The booking process was easy and the tour company Evergreen Escapes was very helpful in answering any questions. I would highly recommend this tour and tour company. Ask for Sean when you book!
Amazing Trip and amazing guide, very organized and got to see many cool waterfalls and trails in the mountain
Our Mt Rainer National Park Day Tour with our sweet knowledgeable guide Elk was the perfect ending for our trip in Seattle. My husband and I are well taken cared, and very satisfied. Safe comfortable driving and 5 star hotel grade healthy delicious lunch, snack that included in the tour gives us energy to walk the trails and explore the beauty scenery of Mt Rainer. We got to see a fox relaxing by the roadside. Marmots family chilling out in the misty fog/cloud.
Elk Well prepared extra jackets/walking sticks really ease our worry of walking up and down in the rain/woods seeing thousand year old Fir tree, and Several Gracious water falls. History and Stories of Mt Rainer, local town connect us with Washington State. This trip will be a forever memory that worth to talk about for many years by my husband and Me. I highly recommend Evergreen Escape.
Our tour was amazing: a great guide with nice music, lots of incredible informations about nature and history of the surroundings. Don't mind the weather: it was raining a lot but you can borrow all the necessary gear plus the canopy is going to help, not mentioning the mistiness of the area with the foggy weather: just sensational!
Loved this trip! Preston Rodriguez was an excellent guide, lots of knowledge and an engaging personality. The day was perfect -- beautiful views, lovely walks, even saw two black bears (very close!), marmots and other critters. Also a very nice group, just 8 of us and all interesting people. Would recommend this company for other tours!
Our guide was informative, enthusiastic and worked hard to make sure all members of our party felt welcome. The only part of the trip I could have done without was the gift shop at the end. I would have rather spent the time in the park.
Clayton was our tour guide and she provided a very upbeat, positive, enthusiastic, and educational tour. I learned so much about plants and animals on the hike and I absolutely loved it. The hikes were gorgeous and her personality made the whole tour that much better. I have not experienced a tour guide with such a passionate personality in a very long time. She’s amazing the tour was amazing and I’m so grateful. It’s exactly what I needed.
This tour with Sean was great! He is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the environment plus he is very flexible with varying physical abilities of the participants. There were only 10 members of the tour, all of whom were so nice and friendly, but Sean encourages interaction with each other. The gourmet lunch with wine in the forest was delightful. We highly recommend this tour, especially if you are staying in Seattle.
An outstanding tour with a knowledge fun guide who enhanced our family vacation to the Pacific Northwest. The views and information were too notch. Even in the rain this was an unforgettable day!
This was a superb tour - both for what we saw and what we learned. Yasmine is a terrific tour guide, informative, animated, and considerate. I also liked what I saw of your company's ecological values. Reusable water bottles and no single-use paper or plastic. Delicious lunch and snacks. Grandmother/granddaughter visit.
Preston was a top-notch guide and provided a fantastic vacation day for my husband and I in the majestic area of Mt. Rainer National Park. He had a fun demeanor and lots of personality on both the drive to and from Seattle as well as on the 3 separate hikes he guided us on during our day long outing. He wisely took us on the most challenging hike first up past Frozen Lake on Mt. Rainer, followed by a short hike to see an aged forest, and the last brief hike was to see a beautiful waterfall. The gourmet lunch served after the Mt. Rainer hike was delicious and revived us all to be able to do the two late afternoon hikes. He saved the best for last by stopping by a mountain store that served delicious huckleberry ice cream which finished the day off perfectly. I highly recommend this tour and while you don't have a choice of guides, Preston was superb. Our tour group bonded well thanks to Preston's personality and our entire group seemed like old friends by the drive back to Seattle. Truly a wonderful day in the mountains!
This tour was far better than we could have imagined it would be and absolutely better than trying to plan out our own in a car. Prescott, our guide for the day, was knowledgeable, a great conversationalist, and keep the atmosphere interesting all day long. The various stops along the way for rest breaks, snacks, scenic views and hiking were paced very well. The terrain we covered was from second/third growth forest to old growth forest to waterfalls (with some geological background thrown in) to sub-alpine meadows at almost 7,000'. The variety of locations is important for beginning to understand the geologic, plant, and animal communities around and on Rainier.
The food breaks and lunch were excellent and ample. At lunch, Prescott laid out a table cloth with place settings, cold chicken breasts, tofu, black bean and corn salad, kale salad, water, and wine. On the way back to Seattle, there were cookies for a late afternoon snack.
We were fortunate to have an exceptionally clear and sunny day, with temperatures in the 70s and clear views of Rainier. We saw a bald eagle, several species of jays, a mother grouse with chicks, chipmunks, a marmot, ravens. It was late July, the wildflowers in the sub-alpine meadows were at their peak.
All in all, I would recommend this tour as one not to miss.
Clayton was a fantastic tour guide. We got to see a lot and she took us off the route to see a fantastic waterfall. She had a bunch of great facts and allowed our group to add more hiking to our tour. The drive was comfortable and there were always snacks and drinks always handy. She made sure we were all taken care of during the whole trip.
Seattle Escapes was great to work with when determining pickup times and location. They are most accommodating. Van was comfortable with large windows that allowed us to clearly view the sights as they were pointed out to us. Marty was our guide and he knew enough about the area to give us good information on geology, geography, and plant/animal life. The lunch was OK with vegan options. The weather for our visit was good, and we had plenty of opportunities to see the summit from the trails (which I would rate as flat and easy to moderate inclines for very short distances). Enough of an introduction to make it easier to determine future visit itineraries. We did the Paradise side of the mountain.
This tour is completely awesome and Preston was our awesome tour guide. I went in the Spring, so some of the lakes still had ice and snow covers but we had excellent views of the mountain, many snow melt waterfalls, a good lunch with some local wine, hike some trails, and an excellent pair of guides.
I really enjoyed hiking on this trip. Breathtaking views of the mountain. Delicious, nutritious food we ate at lunchtime. Preston is excellent and enthusiast outdoors guide.
My husband and I signed up for this trip as a chance to see / visit Mt. Rainier while in Seattle. We were picked up by Jann at our hotel, as scheduled. She was very informative and very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. My husband went along on the snowshoeing trip while I stayed behind at the visitors center. After our visit to Mt. Rainier, we stopped for lunch which was provided with our tour. We highly recommend this tour. You won't be disappointed.
A superb 1 day trip to Mt.Rainer. A special mention for our guide Kris who made it even more wonderful. She was right on time to pick us up from our hotel and drove us all the way to the mountains. She got enough snacks and food along with some nice wine. She had through knowledge about the place and man she was so good with kids. We are glad we booked this tour. One of the best place I visited !!!
For not being familiar with area at all this tour utilized time so well. Took our group to must see parts of the park. Awesome time!
A great trip. Our guide was Janice. Beautiful vistas and hikes thru old growth forest and unique tree trunk formations.
Endurance challenging snowshoeing in the mountain at approx 5600ft with clear views of Mt Rainier.
The description for this trip did not mention degree of physicality involved. All trips must include this.
Strongly recommend. Fun, informative, well planned. It was a day trip full of stories, challenges (mountaineering part). We were supplied thought the day with wealthy snacks. Lunch was a balanced homemade/home cooked meal with wine. Absolutely AMAZING!! Exceeded my expectaions!
Our tour was wonderful! Nate, our guide, was very knowledgeable and kept us smiling. He really spoiled us with snacks and a beautiful lunch. He was patient with me on the hikes and we were rewarded with breathtaking views. High recommendations!
Claire was a fantastic guide - so knowledgeable about our history. Every little detail was well thought out and I appreciated this. Wonderful group of people on this trip. Chris was shadowing Claire as she’s coming back on board and she was delightful as well! Again, so much knowledge was shared and really completed the experience.
Guide was perfect, knowledgeable, professional and friendly! Great food, wonderful hikes. First time for my husband and I to use this tour group. Will be the only one I will use again and highly recommend. Great time thank you!
We had Andrew as our tour and I can't imagine that there is anyone better at what they do. He could answer every question (and there were lots of questions). Our group was comprised of nine people and that was a perfect size. At our first stop, Andrew made french press coffee and had pastries. At another stop, we had an awesome picnic lunch (chicken breasts prepared two different ways, three salads, beverages and homemade cookies. We left our camera case in the van and Andrew made a special stop after the tour to return it to the front desk of our hotel. He is awesome and deserves an employee of the month award.
This tour was amazing, beautiful and very well organized! Our guide was great. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. I highly recommend this tour.
