My experience with Carvoeiro Caves boat tour was absolutely amazing! Departing from the beautiful Carvoeiro beach made the trip even more perfect. The beauty of the Algarve coastline was truly breathtaking, passing by lovely spots like Boneca and Algar Seco. The sandy shores of Vale Covo and Benagil were absolutely stunning, especially the magnificent Benagil cave with its natural skylight. The boat itself was comfortable, and the crew was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, pointing out interesting sights throughout the journey. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Carvoeiro - it was so much fun! Do not miss it when you are visiting the Algarve.

We drove to Carvoeiro Beach and managed to get tickets at 10.40 for the 11 am tour. 6 of us in the Boat along with 3 staff. Diego, our guide, was terrific. Because of the size of the boat, we could get in and out of all caves easily where larger boats couldn't. It was about an hour going out and 30 minutes back. Highly recommend this tour.

Tour was amazing. Perfect weather. Tour guide Sanchez was brilliant and captain pedro was also. Spoke great English which was brilliant for us ans constantly checked it everyone was okay. Great laugh full recommend

We all really enjoyed this trip. We were lucky to have the most perfect weather, but this was undoubtedly enhanced by the incredible views, comfortable boat, Alex the wonderful guide, and Fabio the fabulous skipper. This is a trip definitely worth doing.

Amazing tour and tour guide Alex. He was informative and had a good sense of humor. The tour was long enough and it covered all of the main caves. Very scenic and absolutely breathtaking. It was easy to book and we kept informed of the weather conditions. The boat was not able to leave from Carvoeiro, so we got shuttled to and from Portimao.

Outstanding tour of spectacular scenery and the caves. Our tour guide and captain, Alex and Daniel, were very competent and knowledgable.

A superb boat trip stopping and going into caves along the Carvoeiro to Marinha route. Trip was 1.5hrs. I went with my two son (10yrs and 7yrs). Alex and Daniel were our driver/guide. Lots of intetesting information about the caves and local history given. Alex had a great sense of humour. Would definatley recommend this trip.

We enjoyed the whole experience, but the highlights were when we went inside the caves, especially the spectacular Benagil Cave. Our skipper, Antonio was a master of getting our boat in and out of the caves, despite some choppy waters. Daniel provided a good commentary along the way, and offered to take pictures of us in Benagil Cave. We highly recommend this boat tour.

Admittedly it was a cold and rainy day. The company said they were delaying the trip start and starting from Portimao. When we reached Portimao, we were all made to stand outside in the rain when there was room inside where we could have been allowed to stand. The attitude of the staff right from the beginning was most unfriendly. We asked several times if it was SAFE to take the boat out, they said it would be cold and rainy but at no point did they point out or prepare us for the rough conditions of the sea. We specifically asked if the waves would be crazy and again they repeated only that it would be cold and rainy. Needless to say, the sea was extremely rough with big waves. Any older person would have suffered tremendously. My husband had stiffness in his back for a long time after. It was extremely unsafe and irresponsible to venture out that day. The waves were very high and the sea was terribly choppy. Some people on our boat got fully drenched by waves. The captain completed the trip in huge hurry. The speed made it all the more uncomfortable. The responsible thing would have been to cancel the trip but they prioritized making money over safety. One can say we should have known this, but as tourists we don’t know the local conditions, hence we asked the questions but there was not even a hint from the company about how physically unsafe it was going to be! Please stay away and go with a more ethical operator.

Boat tour was nice, very rough and cold waters - not the best experience but due to the weather and waves not the tour guides.

The guy who drive a boat name Alex is very nice and knowledgeable. Showing all the points we need to see.

The opportunity to see the caves from the sea on the Benagil Long Boat Tour was very good and much better than I was expecting. Quite how nature has managed to create the caves in question was very special. We thought the trip was also very good value for money.

We were informed the night before our trip that we could only go from Portimao. As we had no transportation the trip was canceled. We were informed the reason the boat could not pick us up in Carvoeiro was "due to the waves on the shore of Carvoeira Beach". We understand that others have been offered transportation from Carvoeira to Portimao. It is a beautiful sunny day, no wind. Very disappointing BENAGIL LONG BOAT TOUR company.

We were informed on the day that we will be picked-up and dropped off for a longer term (2h instead of 1h) and it worked out great with Tiago and Captain Pedro

Great trip out ! Remember to wrap up and wear your flip flops as have to get in the boat whilst it’s on the beach and your feet get wet !
