What an amazing experience we had! It had been raining for most of the day and we had been warned by our guide, Radu that the bears might not make an appearance because of this. We waited for nearly 2 hours and Radu had just shut up the hide and we were about to head back when a young bear came bounding down the hillside. Radu unlocked the hide and we enjoyed watching the bear grubbing for food and standing on his hind legs sniffing the air for another 20 minutes. Seeing the bear was wonderful but even if we hadn't seen one it would have been a positive experience as Radu was so kind and knowledgeable, even dropping us off at a restaurant that he recommended when we finally got back to Brasov tired, hungry but utterly elated.

Irina was an amazing guide, she literally regaled us with fantastic stories of the bears and her experiences the entire time we were driving to the hide - and she used a professional driver as well who was very safe so she could tell us everything we could possibly want to know, so that then we could be very quiet in the hide. The forest was beautiful and the hide top quality, no window glare and pristine. Also we were accompanied onsite by two rangers for maximum safety. But we felt already very safe with Irina, she gave us great advice about the bears and you could tell she knew exactly what she was talking about. Because when we arrived (in September) it was during a freak cold spell we unfortunately did not see bears as they tend to hide away if it suddenly goes cold, but that could hot be helped, and we would love to come back to this hide with Irina when we return to Romania!

Amazing experience with Irina and her team! She explain everything about brown bears, their behaviour and give us tips in case of a situation "face to face" with them. The hide was perfect and bears come close enough to have a really amazing and emotional experience. The spot is even suitable to take some professional photos with long focal and tripod. I really recommend this activity with this team!!!

I always wanted to see brown bears in the wild and found this tour after a quick google search. It was very easy to book and Andreea was always very helpful and answered my questions including the best place to park in the centre of Brasov. Sandu who drove me to and from the bear hide was just legendary. Really enjoyed chatting to him on the car journey and he also tod me about the history of some of the places we drove through on the way. Robert was also a credit to NeoTour and hopefully we'll properly meet when I try to visit Romania again sometime. As for the bear hide it was situated in the perfect position for photographs (on the same level as the bear). On arrival to the hide there was already a big male bear waiting for us! I would definitely recommend doing this and am saving to hopefully visit again!

In Brasov different bear watching options were offered and it took me a lot of time to sort them out. And in the end we were very happy that we chose the "Bear watching in the Land of Volcanoes" experience. Communication with the guide already started before the tour which ensured a smooth pick up. We were positively surprised that we were the only three persons in the group. The car and driver were excellent. Our guide Irina entertained us on our 1 1/2 hour trip to the bear hide with nice facts about bears and life in Romania in general. She is not only very knowledgeable, but also a nice person. After arriving at a parking lot, we hiked for a few minutes with some other groups and an armed ranger to the bear hide. Irina made sure we got the best seats in the house. The bear hide was great: as the hide is on ground level, the bears can come close to the windows. We were lucky to see three of them during our excursion (although we know that this is not guaranteed because wildlife is always unpredictable). We fully recommend this tour for the great guide and excellent bear hide the tour visits!

This bear watching tour was so unique and exclusive. The scenery during the short hike to the hide is serene and picturesque. Once inside the hide you’ll see the bears in their natural environment without disturbing them. The pictures you can get while in the hide of the bears turn out so perfect. Our guide Robert was passionate, proficient, knowledgeable, witty and warm. Overall I had a sublime experience. I definitely recommend taking this bear watching tour if you want to see bears and learn about them. By the way NeoTours is the best company to do tours with! They offer a variety of tours with the best guides. This was my second tour with them and once again great experience!

I did a bear tour in July 2021 to the land of volcanoes. I experienced the company as very professional and a company that tried to help me to find the tour that was the best for me. They guide gave good information during the trip and I got the feeling that they wanted to do what they could to make me have the best experience. I am also into photography and the guide made sure I got a spot in the front closest to the windows in the bear hide so I could get as good photos as possible. The guide also gave me a lot of tips and help for hiking the next day. So very helpful and good guide. We saw two bears during the time one the hide. The negative aspect to the tour was that there were too many people in the bear hide, in my opinion. I counted at least 35 people in the bear hide at the same time. This is way too crowded, especially in a Corona pandemic, but I would say also in normal circumstances. We were sitting very close to each other and there were no possibility to have 1 meter distance. It also got very hot in the bear hide because of all peole. This was not the fault of the company, but the rangers that had admitted far too many people from different companies this day. But especially in these time, that is not good for the experience.

The tour was really nice ! Easy Communication with the tour guides, Really friendly and motivated people.

So first of all: I am amazed by the tour in total. The organisation, the people and what I got to see (photos below). You will be driven into the woods to a little hut run by a forest ranger. He will spread out a bag of corn just in front of the huts window. Soon enough a few bears appear (2 cubs and two grown females). Now you can sit back, relax and enjoy the bears feast and casually fight or rubbing their backs on a dead tree. I had a blast! Also we were offered self made palinka - non stop. Once my glass was empty it mystically filled up again 😂 And last but not least about the amazing organisation and how you’re being taken care of. I got the contact to Robert, one of the agencies guys who took me to the trip. He will not only answer all question you might have beforehand, he also gave me heaps of tips about other activities or restaurants for my stay in Brasov. Thumbs up!

We met Robert at his office in Brasov and booked bear watching about 1.5 hrs from Brasov. The experience was fantastic, really nice ranger called Janosh (not sure of spelling). We saw 5 bears, a wild boar as uwell as foxes and deer. The hide was well designed with plenty of space, the ranger helped to pass the time waiting for the animals with a few palinca.

Our lovely adventure starts with being picked up our hotel by our great guide Robert who is quite infomative about the area , a lovely scenic drive to the the Park where we meet the ranger ,and take a fun 4 wheel drive to the bear blind . A short hop from the truck to the shelter . and then yes Bears ,and birds but Whats best is the good company of people who love what they do , and care about the nature and the life in the area . I could not recommend this enough if your in Romania make sure you bring extra batteries for your camera maybe an extra sd card for all the lovely shots you will get . Me and a friend actually booked a trip to go bear watching near Braşov but due to weather circumstances it wasn’t possible at the time (heavy snow). Robert advised us to choose for another bear watching experience instead and we didn’t regret it at all! Robert is a very friendly and welcoming person who will definitely make sure you will have a great time. We went to two bear hides and at the second hide we saw a bear coming out of the forest for his evening meal. We had a fantastic afternoon and it was truly amazing to see a bear living in the wild. Muy contento de haber elegido esta agencia local para mi viaje en Brasov para observar y fotografíar osos. Me organizaron los transfers, el hotel y los hides de los osos. El Hotel y el transfer fueron como la seda, fantásticas elecciones. Aunque el hide de benceMate me canceló mi sesión por overbooking el mismo día de mi llegada, y lo había reservado unos meses antes! la agencia me buscó otras opciones y me canceló las otras resrvas en ese hide como les dije ya que estaba muy decepcionado con esos hides por cancelarme con tan poca antelación. Si quieren soporte local durante su estancia, esta es vuestra agencia.

Wir stießen im Internet auf Robert und seine Agentur, weil wir Bären beobachten wollten. Alles hat wunderbar geklappt. Ohne Probleme konnte die Tour von Deutschland aus gebucht werden, der Kontakt zur Agentur verlief problemlos über Email und Whatsapp. Unser Guide Robert holte uns vom Hotel ab und führte den Ausflug mit uns durch. Am Bärenbeobachtungsort begleitete uns dann noch ein Rancher, wodurch wir uns jederzeit vollkommen sicher fühlten. Wir hatten großes Glück, mussten gar nicht warten und sahen mehrere Tiere, was wirklich für die ganze Familie ein großartiges Erlebnis war. Dazu kam Roberts nette und sehr freundliche Art. Er erzählte uns viel über die Bären, aber auch über Land und Leute. Auch beantwortete er geduldig alle unsere Fragen. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungener Ausflug, der auch, wenn er nicht gerade billig ist, jeder Cent wert ist. Vielen Dank nochmal. We came across Robert and his agency on the internet because we wanted to watch bears. Everything worked out wonderfully. Without problems, the tour could be booked from Germany, the contact with the agency was easily via email and whatsapp. Our guide Robert picked us up from the hotel and made the trip with us. At the Bear Observation Site we were accompanied by a Rancher, which made us feel completely safe at all times. We were very lucky, did not have to wait and saw several animals, which was a great experience for the whole family. Added to this was Robert's kind and very friendly nature. He told us a lot about the bears, but also about the country and its people. He also patiently answered all our questions. All in all a successful trip that is worth every penny even if it is not exactly cheap. Thanks again.
