Natascha was amazing. Despite the rough weather and the torrential rain, she was full of enthusiasm, shared so much about the history of Bamberg, and still managed to show us all the amazing sights. Overall, this was such a great walking tour, and I would recommend this for everyone wanting to learn more about this beautiful town.

Our guide, Horst, shared details that you wouldn’t find in a guidebook, related to his personal experiences, growing up 2 miles from East Germany, having a US base in the town, etc. his historical knowledge was outstanding as well as his English.

Our guide, Hersch, was fabulous. He took us everywhere we wanted to go and had answers to all of our questions. He also had good suggestions for what we could do on our own. Highly recommend this tour.

Horst was an exceptional tour guide. He has a wealth of knowledge about the town, all with a lot of self-deprecating humor. What could have been a lengthy history lesson, became and engaging and interesting introduction to Bamberg. This was by far due to our tour with Horst. I can't recommend it enough. In fact, Bamberg was by far our favorite stop on our 12-day journey in Germany.

We enjoyed our tour of Bamberg with Eberhard. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We found him to be an inspiring human that keeps busy and serving! It was fortunate to have our tour fall on Corpus Christi and see the traditional celebrations surrounding it. Our tour made Bamberg so much more meaningful to us. We’d love to visit again next time we’re in Germany.

His tour included the amazing cathedral, the history of the city, myths and legends, political influences, and all things beer - which is extremely appropriate, considering Bamberg has 9 breweries! Ulrika graciously hosted me and my wife along with another couple we are friends with for a Christmas Eve tour. We walked along old canal streets, saw buildings from long ago, and learned the stories and characters behind them throughout the journey. Ulrika brought along an old city map and some pictures to add to her tour as well. The Christmas Markets and particular day of the year ruled out going inside a few places (old breweries, etc.). Overall, while a rainy and chilly day, the tour was pleasant.

We are a group of 13 (12 students and 1 instructor) from a Texas community college and used Ggs for private transfers and ALL tours on our trip (5 cities). They were fantastic. Always on time, always reliable, great communication and knowledgeable guides. We will use Ggs again! Thank you for everything.

Bamberg is.one of the best kept secrets in Germany. It is not hard to find a little or big surprise around every corner. I bought a guide book in one of the local bookstore sanction a self guided tour. Walk slowly, pause often, absorb all.
