Quite an itinerary for 1 day but it left me with fulfillment. The walk through Segovia was epic and the different vibe between the towns is interesting.

A very nice tour visiting Avila and Segovia. A must see. Tour was well organised, well balanced between guided parts and free time. Comfortable air conditioned bus. Having the tour in two languages is not the best option but the guide managed to give us a good service.

I loved the ambiance of both towns, but found Segovia to be more vibrant. In Avila I loved the history around Santa Teresa. In Segovia, the aqueduct is just breathtaking.

Javier spoke perfect English, and he switched between his native tongue and English effortlessly. I had a tour a number of years ago and that guide was not so good with English. She handled it by providing much less information in English which made me feel like I missed many things. I did not feel I missed anything with Javier.

The one negative was the included tapas at lunch at the Murralis hotel patio in Avila. The pork belly was so hard it really wasn't edible - everyone felt the same way. I would have rather had some manchego cheese that would require no cooking. The chorizo slice was fine and the bread average. Literally, you get about a bite of each, so factor that in as this is the only time for lunch. The included glass of cold white wine was very good. I just zipped by another place for a tapa of croquetas con jamon and more wine before getting back on the bus. Total lunch time including the tapas was 1 hr, so I'd recommend having the included drink, eat the tapas if you can, and quickly move to another restaurant for something additional.

We walked 5.7 miles according to my phone. It was, as billed, a full day from 845a to about 645p.

I highly recommend this day trip to anyone with interest in Avila and Segovia.

I feel our guide was very good however it was such a distraction for him to speak English then flip back to Spanish then English then Spanish... for people having a hard time paying attention ..... you lose it... after going by something on bus by the time it’s English you have passed it and lost the intent of information.. after awhile I took earpiece out and stopped paying attention... beautiful tour but would have appreciated so much more if we had English tour and seperate Spanish speaking tour.. plus it started late and we sat in lobby without anyone giving information... disappointed with this company in particular

The sites were really amazing to see, especially the Segovia castle. I really enjoyed hearing the history and we covered a lot of ground with rest in between as we traveled to each site. Javi was our guide and he was great.

Our tour guide Pilar was awesome! Super knowledgeable and a joy to be around. Our tour started in Avila. I can honestly say we saw all the major highlights of the city and did not feel rushed.

Both cities are definitely worth visiting but I wouldn’t travel with Trapsatur again. The guide was poor. Friendly enough but had simply learned the script. None of the extra insights that makes having a guide so special. He was totally unaware of where his group was, just charging ahead without stopping to look back, even when one of the group had a very nasty fall. To top it all a totally inhuman coach driver was happy for people to be standing outside the coach in the cold whilst he sat inside tapping his watch and declaring he wouldn’t open the door until the exact departure time. Spoiled a good day.

The tour is conducted in a large group, with slight variation of itinerary. Be sure to verify what you signed up for prior to embarking on the bus.

Tour advertised guided walking tours, but when we opted out of buying add-on tix to cathedral and monuments, we found out this also excluded us from the audio guide she passed out for commentary as the group walked from place to place. Not explained well. Just as well as our guide was bored and not very informative during the bus ride, so I doubt we missed much insight. Lots of posted info along the way as we explored on our own.
Cities are amazing and well worth the trip. So take this tour if you want to avoid the hassle of public trains and buses, but not for the guide.

If you don’t have much time in the area don’t waste your time trying to figure out train schedules. Do this tour. The meeting point is easy to find and you have a guided tour guide for the whole day. It’s a walking tour of Avila and Segovia and you hit the highlights. If you’re the type that has to spend all day gazing at things this might not be the tour for you. This is for those people that want to see the highlights and get on to with their day.

I’ve read many reviews about the tour and I can tell you our guide was very informative of the day and expectations. We had zero surprises come up and this tour more than met our expectations.

My partner and I chose the tour with no entry, and a drink and tapa. We were fine with this, as we were okay with skipping going inside the Avila Cathedral and instead walked and got great pictures of the city and souvenirs at a little shop. In Segovia, we paid the cheap price to get into the cathedral and walked around ourselves without the tour, and the castle happened to have free entry that day, so I thought not getting the guided tours everywhere was perfectly fine for us, especially as I take a ton of pictures and wander off in search of a great shot. Our guide, Rafa, was very knowledgeable and friendly - he did a great job coordinating the entire day. The day went really smoothly for us and everything was perfectly on time. This was a super great deal and we loved it! As a warning, the drink and tapa is a bit lame - you don't choose your tapa, and it's quite a small portion, but the lunch break leaves plenty of time to go get something else, which is great. I highly recommend!

Avila and Segovia were absolutely breath taking. Be prepared to do a lot of walking. Unfortunately our tour guide was responsible for having a another tour join us - my tour was not aware until that tour got into a bus accident which severely delayed the sights we could see. We need limited tour guidance and spent too much time waiting around. My husband and I did a lot of walking around ourselves between spending on average 20-30 waiting for our guide.
