Our tour guide was amazing. He’d probably done it a thousand times but his emotions in his voice was so real. A day I’ll never forget. Heartbreaking but something everyone should do at least once in their lifetime x
Picked up on time, even though had to have the time changed the day before. Polite driver, let us know what was happening. You cannot come to Krakow and nit visit Auschwitz/Birkenau. This excursion is a must.
I would highly recommend booking this trip to Auschwitz, our driver picked us up on time and spoke very good English. We were advised exactly what the meeting points were and the tour guide was amazing. She was so passionate about making the experience as real as possible.
The most heartbreaking but fantastic day, Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very clear English spoken. A long day as its over an hour commuting from Krakow, And a lot of walking but i would advise everyone to experience this history. I wouldn't recommend if you have walking restrictions as its not wheelchair accessible at all.
Reliable tour operator, trip ran smoothly, good guide! Interesting yet harrowing at the same time, a must do tourist trip
The tour was professionally conducted, the bus arrived on time and the guide was very knowledgeable, took the time to explain the history, and gave enough time for breaks and lunch
Every person should visit here at least once in your lives to ensure we never repeat what happened. It is unbelievable, makes the Holocaust experience much more real. Shocking but necessary to see.
The tour was really informative. the guide was very respectful and helpful. Would definitely recommend
Michael is a brilliant guide - VERY knowledgable and made the tour interesting from the moment we got on the minibus. Teenage son who is studying modern history was captivated and agreed guide was brilliant. We skipped the long line getting in and kept a step ahead of the crowds along the way. Obviously it’s a harrowing, overwhelming place to visit and we originally thought about doing it on our own but we would’ve missed so much.
Was pleasantly surprised to be given a tour from the moment we got on the bus, Very charismatic individual who knows his stuff, very passionate about what he does !
Heart breaking but very informative tour of the museum. Our guide was amazing and answered any other questions that we had
Absolutely brilliant tour with such a knowledgeable guide. So sad though. A must do tour if staying in Krakow. Thank you.
An absolute must do when in Krackow the passion of the guide and making people aware these atrocities must never happen again in mankind lifetimes
This is a magnificent tour. It is sad and sombre but a must see for anyone with an interest in the war and its atrocities.
Not appropriate to regard this tour as enjoyable but our guide Joanna was excellent in illustrating the horror of the life and death reality of Auschwitz/Berkenau. The pick up/drop of arrangements worked well even though we did spend some time on the bus for the initial pick ups.
The tour was very well organised. Mini-bus collected us at hotel and took us to tour. Very comfortable.
Lucy was our tour guide and she was brilliant. Both me and my partner found her to be very informative and patient with the group. Great experience.
Great to be picked up by the hotel. The guide told the stories in a good and emotional way.
We will recommend this trip.
Very good guide n tour only 4 of. Us on it so even better id say going by size of sum groups, may this NEVER happen again
Jimmy was an excellent guide for what is a very sombre sobering experience. I was particularly impressed with his sense of reverence and dignity for the memory of those who perished. The bus was comfortable and the whole day was well presented
So sad and shocking the unnecessary brutality caused to human beings. Too tragic to speak about.
Guide extremely knowledgeable and immense respect and sensitivity felt and shown by him throughout the tour.
May it never happen again.
excellent trip . pick up on time coach driver very helpful , tour guide excellent very knowledgeable and respectful.
There are a lot of different options for taking these tours, and I think the experience can be influenced heavily through the tour guide and company that you go with. I chose through SuperCracow Tours since they could pick me up at the Krakow Airport, and it seems I lucked out with an amazing tour guide, Margaret. Deep depth of knowledge, great communication, I couldn't ask for more out of this humbling experience.
We visited on 1 September 2019, exactly 80 years to the day that Germany invaded Poland. That may be why the crowds of people I had been warned about were not there. As a result we had the time to look at the evidence of the pure evil that existed in that place and many others.
Our brilliant guide Margarite from Super Cracow Tours was dignified, so knowledgeable and unquestionably passionate about the facts. Hanging on to her every word describing the horror, her calm intelligence helped me to take in the information. And I have thought about that place every day since.
No I don't want to ever go there again. But i urge everyone to go once. And if you are lucky enough to get Margarite to guide you it will be unforgettable for all the right and wrong reasons.
Excellent historical place. A must for all visitors. The guides are excellent and extremely knowledgeable . Easy to walk around with good bookshops outside too. Book early as polish tourists want to visit too so annual holidays can make it very busy.
Check the tour operator as i would not recommend the one i used as collection was 9am but changed to 11.25 and then had to wait 1hr 15 min when there to wait for another group, then had to wait for a guide for 15 mins. Check the operators reviews.
*******My rating is for the museum and NOT the tour guide********
My visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau was everything I expected and more, the sheer size of Birkenau blew my mind! I wish however I could say the same for the tour guide, whom was quite disappointing. I can understand time constraints and all but rushing people through a tour and/or leaving half the group behind is beyond disappointing. Hope others have a better experience than I. If I had a chance to do this all over I would make the visit on my own as I hardly benefited from the guide other than a ride to/from.
This is a sad and memorable place. It is hard to imagine the cruelty and suffering people suffered. It was very much brought to life by our excellent guide. We should never forget this part of history.
Pick up from the hotel on time. The transfer to Auschwitz in a new Mercedes Vito. The rote goes by local roads, so it takes about 1 hour 45 minutes. Up on arrival we met our guide, a woman in her 50's, she lost two oncles in Auschwitz. She made very good excursion into the history of Auschwitz.
If you are in Krakow - you should go, to see, to think about 1.5 million (only documented) innocents souls, and to remember, that this horrifying history must not repeat.
Well worth visit, a surreal place to come. I did not realise how large the camp is. Our guide was very knowledgeable the whole tour lasted around 4 and a bit hours. Take water as it can get very warm in poland especially in June. Wear sensible shoe as there are uneven areas and a lot of walking. Respect the area as there are places where you cannot take photographs. There are a a couple of refreshment areas selfing pizzas and burgers etc. Toilet break costs 2plz. A somber place to visit but history wise is well worth a trip.
Very well organized. Picked up and dropped off from hotel that wasn't in city centre. The while trip was well organized with two different concentration camps to visit and a full guided tour.
We were picked up on time, despite having to change the time of our tour. The bus was comfortable, the video we saw on the bus was informative. The guide was excellent, spoke faultless English, answered any questions.
