LITERALLY the best excursion I have ever been on hands down! Look no further this excursion is what everyone needs to experience. Eddy was my guide and he did a great job keeping the group together, guiding us up the mountain and back down, taking pictures (getting all the angles) if you’re a solo traveler like myself! They pick you up in an open air taxi, taking you through the streets of Zona romantica giving you that real deal feel of Mexico. On the way to the facility you pass through some little communities in the mountains which is absolutely beautiful and secluded, Mexican/Spanish style homes which are breathtaking. It started to down pour raining half way up the mountain and continued to rain most of the excursion which made it so much more fun! I was soaked by the end of the excursion. The views and experience is beyond phenomenal. Words and pictures don’t do justice of the beauty up there! You truly feel one with nature. Just being present and soaking it all in is what matter’s the most. I will definitely be booking this excursion again when I come back to PV! Thank you eddy and the rest of the staff at Canopy River! Also a few things to note: - Ladies and gentlemen keep the fancy clothes, shoes, bags and full face of makeup for another place and time. This is legit not the excursion for it. As in their description rain or shine the show still goes on. Wear clothing and shoes that you do not care about. Based on my experience we got rained on and rained on HARD! There was a couple of times where we stopped and I had to ring out my shirt because it was drenched and heavy from the rain. - As stated in their description as well they have lockers… it’s actually not lockers . It’s a barrel where they keep everybody’s belongings in while you’re out doing the excursion. There is no individual lockers if you do not feel comfortable keeping your stuff with other people’s belongings, get a waterproof backpack or fanny pack (can’t stress this enough) to take with you on the excursion once again, rain or shine the show still goes on. - I noticed in other reviews people complaining about not being able to swim in the waterfall.. well every guide on my excursion gave us the opportunity to go in the water if we wanted to, however because it was raining so hard, the water was very muddy and murky which in opinion didn’t feel safe to swim in. But to each its own! - Also going across the bridge (which is the last part of the excursion) go at your own pace to get those pictures and videos. I seen other reviews of people stating they felt rushed… no guide rushed us to get across that bridge. Everybody in my group wanted those pictures and video so we took our time slowly going across that bridge to get those videos and pictures do not feel rushed. And man was it worth it! - Bonus: at the end of the excursion, the driver dropped everybody off to their exact location whether that was a resort, an Airbnb, hotel, hostel wherever you were staying or wherever you needed to be dropped off they dropped you off at that specific point which was nice because I was expecting to be dropped off at the original meeting point (one of their offices) then catching a Uber or taxi back to my resort. Now I can’t say if they do that at the end of each of their excursions but that’s what happen with mine and please make sure you take care of your driver and tip them.Beautiful scenery and a great way to see the sierra madre. There are a lot of sharp turns so beware of that. Omar and Danny were excellent guides.

Excellent adventure! Great guides! Fun swim at the fresh water pool. Bring bandana for head & face. Pretty cool. Tequila tasting afterwards is something to saver! There was no limit 6o the tester shots provided. I'd do it again. BUT, I think I'd do the restaurant brunch buffet next time. We did have a cool truck ride from town all the way up the hill to the property. I would look into possibility to hang out there half the day to eat, drink and swim. It would be cool.Awesome Experience ! I would definitely recommend. Mario was an awesome instructor! Best one ever!!!
