My Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our excursion. Our driver Cyril was courteous and friendly and provided us with a wealth of information, as he drove us to places of interest. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.
Cyril (sp?) Met us as promised and gave us an informative island wide tour in his GMC Suburban. He was knowledgeable, engaging and funny. I can't stress enough how good this tour was and how our guide was one of the best we have had on our many tours!
An extremely informative and excellent tour provided by Winston whose charm and local knowledge made it all the more enjoyable. Thank you Winston!
An amazing tour. Our tour guide was Vincent and he was absolutely a fabulous guide. Would definitely recommend our friends to book through your website. Made my birthday extra special.
Our driver was knowledgeable, funny, and entertaining. The tour was excellent, well run and the lunch was fabulous!
It was an excellent tour but it started off rough. We were supposed to meet at 9am at the Beehive Restaurant. We arrived 8:45am and one of the many taxi drivers asked if we needed anything. We thanked him and said we were waiting for a tour from National. He said the driver just left. Luckily I had brought our paperwork and the taxi driver offered to call the company. They told him they would send the driver back to get us. When the driver returned about 9:15am, he had a poster with our names on it but he said there was a mix up in that there was another van and he thought we were on that van. I did not buy the excuse and figured we were off to a bad start. However, he did give us a great tour of the island. I would recommend Viator for this tour.
From start to finish our tour was great. Dale our tour guide amazing , provided information, very knowledge, and willing to answer our questions. We were on a cruise. This tour company told us were to meet them...very easy...Dale was there with a sign and our name. Would recommend this tour and Viator...
Antigua was one of the islands on our Southern Caribbean Cruise. We wanted to book our own excursion rather than tour the island with a big tour group from the cruise. We had seen prior reviews about your company and Winston as the tour guide. Winston was great. He was attentive and informative. He showed the five of us all of the sites of Antigua and then when asked, recommended Hemingway's for lunch. All in all, Winston was great as was the tour and lunch. I would highly recommend booking with Viator.
We were lucky to get Gregory as our guide and we hit it off right away. It was a comprehensive tour complemented by a few stops for Wadadli and many laughs. Thank you Gregory, it couldn't have been better. Loved English Harbor. The Antiguan people are very kind.
Nice tour of the island. Nice guide!
We booked this tour because we wanted to see English Harbour and Nelson's dockyard as our cruise ship's excursions didn't include these. Having looked at Viator's reviews we asked for Winston and he didn't disappoint. We hadn't realised this would be a private tour and we really enjoyed it especially the visit to Nelson's dockyard.
Our guide, Dale, did an excellent job taking us around the island and showing us the beautiful sights! Wonderful tour that was very informative and fun!
We really enjoyed this tour. Our tour company was National Tours and our driver and tour guide was Michael Mikie. Our van was immaculate and Mikie was very informative, friendly, and showed his passion for Antigua. We would highly recommend this tour for those wanting a good overview and history of Antiguia.
The tour was excellent. We were given a thorough tour of the island. Our tour guide was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. His vehicle was very comfortable and he made sure he kept it cool for us when we were out looking at the sights. It was definitely a great tour.
We had a group of 8, we were split in 2 vehicles but that was ok. Both guides were great!! Just make sure to confirm if you are on the cruise ship that the cruise ship time is different than the island time.
Lovely island tour our guide Dale was very informative would recommend
This was a fantastic tour and excellent value for money and I would recommend it if travelling on a cruise ship and you do not want to book the ship excursion. This was far superior and less expensive. There was only the 2 of us on this tour so excellent service provided by the driver and a really VIP feel versus the coach full on the cruise ship tour. This was the first time I had booked a Viator trip so was not sure what to expect but I will 100 use Viator again - great job
Wonderful tour. Our guide, Winston, was the best. He knows the island and it's history and is a wealth of information. This was a bargain, not to be missed.
When our cruise ship docked in Antigua, my wife and I were soon met by Winston, who was waiting for us at the foot of the pier while holding up a sign with our names printed in bold letters. Winston's sign had a different company name listed on it but it is a VIATOR Tour. We had specifically asked for Winston after reading the review posted by Iman S in December. Winston greeted us with a warm smile and a handshake a few seconds later we were on our way. Our tour began at the pier. As we proceeded along the road one lane in each direction, with motorists driving on the wrong side, as per British custom, we stopped at the best scenic spots for photos as well as several places of historical interest. Winston included a discussion of his family ancestry to further our understanding of the island's history and culture. A very personal tour indeed! He often stopped for additional pictures whenever we requested that he do so. He also politely answered all of my questions, clarifying his answers with facts, anecdotes and humor. As our tour ended, we soon realized that Winston had actually circumnavigated the entire island of Antigua! This is a tour definitely worth signing up for. Be sure to ask for Winston. Note: VIATOR Tours obviously does its best to honor customer requests.
I never give reviews, but I feel compelled to because Winston, our tour guide/driver was such a pleasure. I learned so much. If you can request a specific tour guide, I feel comfortable suggesting that you request Winston.
We had great time with our tour guide, Dale. There were nothing much on the island except one place a old fortress with a great view. Got back to the ship in time for Lunch. The price should be less
Oh wow! What a sight to behold! Do you know that Antigua has 365 beaches? I only saw about 5, but that pretty much sets the tone for the rest of the island. My tour guide had my name on a sign when I disembarked the ship so that made me feel special. It was also a private tour and well worth it!
We had a wonderful time touring the island and our guide was very informative.
Excellent tour. We were not rushed in any way. Tour ended up being about 5 hrs. instead of 31/2 hrs. Exceded expectations.
We very much enjoyed the tour. The guide met us at the end of the pier right on time. I was recovering from an illness and he made sure he parked as closely as possible to the sites for us to see so I wouldn't have to walk so much. When we asked about a good local place to eat near the ship, he stopped and took us into a local place about 2 blocks from the pier and asked them to take good care of us. I think his name was Nigel and he did a great job of taking care of us. We will use Viator for tours again.
A very nice way to get an overview of the island and learn a bit of history. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our time and highly recommend the tour to others.
