Stop At: Angels & Demons Tour, Rome Italy
A unique and interesting way to go sightseeing in Rome, this ‘Angels and Demons’ tour is inspired by Dan Brown’s novel, but there is no requirement for having it read it or being a fan of Brown’s (although it may help!). It’s a memorable way to explore the city’s lovely squares, fountains, architecture and churches, made interesting with the twist of visiting lesser-known sites where pagan and Christian symbolism intertwine.
Following your guide, who is knowledgeable about both Roman history and the details of the novel, walk along Rome’s hallowed streets, stopping to discover sights like a hidden passageway that dates back centuries. As you hunt for secrets left around the city by Bernini and Galileo, the two heads of the Illuminati, visit locations mentioned in the book and hear about the Four Altars of Science, which represent the four elements of water, air, fire and earth. Sights you’ll see include the Church of Santa Maria del Popolo, St Peter's Square, the Church of Santa Maria della Vittoria and Ecstasy of St Teresa, Piazza Navona and the Church of Illumination, where you’ll glimpse the secret passageway that links the Vatican to Castel Sant'Angelo. By the time the tour ends, you’ll have a new appreciation for Rome’s air of intrigue.

It is an indescribable feeling as you walk through these beautiful buildings of ancient Roman art and architecture, culture and sculpture, so it is really extremely difficult to picture it, let alone in words ... Impossible. I wish you all to experience this. To feel this peace and serenity as you soak up the magnificence of the Vatican. As you walk along the Illumination path around Rome and tour the 'Altars of Science' according to the book 'Angels and Deamons' with a professional guide who presents you with the complete Roman history. Ok, that's impossible for life, but as long as it gets in 4 hours. ROB, YOU ARE REALLY THE BEST, thank you from the bottom of my heart !!!!
Inti did a fabulous job setting the stage before, during and after each stop to bring us closer to the story and the theories. My husband hadn’t read the book and was equally enthralled with the tour.It was certainly a different approach to Rome and not something we’d likely tour on our own, let alone get out as much as we did form doing so.
Angela is so knowledgeable about Roman history, art, culture, Catholic religion. She did excellent job weaving this into story line. Loved all the back stories about historical figures. I learned so much!
Angela, our guide was exceptionally good. She had a background in history and so, in addition to having a very detailed knowledge of the Angels and Demons book, she was able to give us a history lesson on other Roman matters as we journeyed around Rome in the air conditioned coach. We really enjoyed the tour and would certainly recommend it.
I had done this tour 8-10 years ago and when my friend and I visited Rome recently I recommended this tour, not only because of the book but it's a great way to visit stunning venues and their artworks. Imagine my surprise when we were lucky enough to be guided again by Roberto. Not only does he bring the book to life, his knowledge, particularly Bernini, is exceptional. It was great to see you again Roberto....look forward to seeing you again in another few years?
Well what can I say about Roberto my tour guide? He is EVERYTHING that everyone says he is FABULOUS!!! The tour itself was great. I learned so much while on the tour that I took notes on my phone. Also, Robert spoke about the books during the tour and made it an interactive experience. Love his sense of humor. I will make sure that my friend books with him when she does the tour in September. Bravo Roberto.
My favourite tour! The tour took us to many of the sites from the book Angels and Demons, with great comparisons to the movie, and with both compared to reality. I also found the history of the sites, of Rome, and Italy fascinating, The best part of he tour was our tour guide Robert. Not only did he know the book, movie and Roman history exceptionally well, he was thoroughly entertaining and made the entire tour an awesome experience. Thanks so much!
Best tour we had on our trip. Robert is the best guide we have ever had, anywhere !
A fabulous trip led by Roberto. He was so knowledgeable about the book and film, as well as the history of the sites visited. He was very courteous, engaging and hilarious. Thoroughly recommend this tour .
Incredible, amazing, tour guide Int was excellent and very funny, we learned from the dan brown novel as never, very illustrative and good knowledge of churches and specific places in Rome thanks
Great tour. Our guide Ascia probably spelled wrong was very knowledgeable about both the Dan Brown book and the sites she took us to. Even though we had already been to a couple of the sites, her insite into how they related to the book was every enlightening.
Watch the movie before you do the tour. Our guide Roberto was simply amazing and so knowledgeable. He even looked like Jesus. Loved that he made you think outside the box when comparing the movie and the true Rome settings. His take on Catholicism, the Church and the Roman people was truly inspiring. Loved it and would do it again!
This was an awesome way to see a little bit of it all! Roberto Robert was and AMAZING guide!! He was knowledgeable, entertaining and had an interesting take on history. We did this with kids and it was just a great experience! Highly recommend!!!!
Fantastic tour - highly recommended. Roberto was knowledgeable about history and the book, and brought it all to life. Not necessary to have read the book beforehand but he made it great for any fan of the series. Didn't overload with history and dates. Tour group also bonded and made the experience even better. Very good!
Best tour in Rome! No question.
What a fantastic tour, Paolo hope this is right our tour guide was fantastic such a wealth of knowledge both fact and fictional. I will most definitely recommend this tour it's so interesting and great value for money.
Really interesting tour even if you did not read the books of Dan Brown. Our Guide John was very good !
first day in rome great way to visit this part of the town.exellent guide city wonder provide great guide.a lot of information,we had a good day.
Had to leave the tour because of illness, but the guide was excellent in her preparation.
Our tour guide, Melanie, was a great story teller and had a detailed knowledge of the history of Rome.
I really enjoyed this trip and can thoroughly recommend it. You don't need to have a detailed knowledge of the Dan Brown story, just an interest in history and conspiracies. The tour starts with a brief synopsis of the Angels and Demons story so if it's been some time since you read the book or watched the film you will still be able to follow the links between each of the sites visited.
This was an interesting tour which took us to places we would not ordinarily see. Most amazing was the Santa Maria Della Vittoria which had one of Bernini's masterpieces. Keeping us entertained was our guide Claudia who was not just reading from the book but practically performing it. You end the tour at Castel Sant'Angelo which is worth a visit on its own anyway so was a good way to end.
Awful weather in Rome but the guides from the 2 groups made a tour memorable. They guided us through the movie, book and sites with magical mastery, so much that we almost forgot about that darn storm.
An extremely interesting tour that gave a different slant on both Rome and the book.
This was our favourite tour yet!
Our American guide sorry I can't remember his name! was fantastic, he had everyone laughing and was extremely insightful not only with is knowledge of the Dan Brown novel but also on Rome itself, we got to see and go to places that we probably wouldn't have otherwise. Little hidden gems everywhere.
We loved our tour and tour guide. She knew everything about the book and took us along on the book's journey. She also included much information on the city while on this journey. So glad we booked this tour!
