We had pre planned our stay in Amritsar with Planet Amritsar. Best decision. Lucky to have Amrit as our guide from airport pickup through to Wagah Border ceremony, street food and heritage walking tour to an extensive tour of the Golden Temple. Amrit (founder of this travel agency) was with us for our entire trip . There are no words of how beautiful the Golden Temple is and the work they do for their community but the way Amrit explained us the essence of Sikhism and the history of this pace made all the difference in our experience . We had many detailed discussions with him . He is very knowledgeable , witty , smart and made our entire stay very interesting . Fantastic tour with a fantastic person (Amrit). Wealth of knowledge and kindness. Really interesting and comprehensive tour. Amrit went way above and beyond during the tour and with matters that were nothing to do with his tour, during my time in Amritsar. He Was so willing and available to be a helping hand with anything we needed during our time in Amritsar. Was an overall family highlight of our whole two week visit to India (the tour and meeting Amrit).

It was great enjoyment! All parts of the day were perfect, whether the time spent in streets of Amritsar, in Golden Temple or our trip to the Punjab village. Amrit is excellent guide, his knowledge is incredibly deep and above all he can explain everything well. Without his company, we wouldn't have had opportunity to visit so many interesting places. Chanced on them when I made a trip to amritsar Nov 22. I know it took a while to write this review, but it just skipped my mind after my return to US. From the time I was picked up by Amrit for my first tour to go inside golden temple, and then a food store in the streets of Amritsar all the tips and tricks to navigate my experience, and finally to top it all off a fantastic village tour with some authentic food and a tractor experience. These guys know how to take a cultural experience to the next level. All along Amrit had tales and narratives on history of the religion, the state and the city. At the end of my tour I was dropped directly at the airport with my luggage, which was an amazing timesaver. Overall any day I will recommend and I’m already planning to use them for my wife when she is there this November

The Full Day experience was awesome! Almost 15 hours of entertainment and new experiences. Visiting the Golden Temple with a Sikh guide is totally different and, for sure, much better! We had the amazing (and kinda exclusive) opportunity to visit the main and secondary kitchens at the temple. After that we’ve experienced an authentic Punjabi village, with all the kindness on a family lunch. At the end of the day, we went to the Wagah Border to feel this unique and fun vibe during the ceremony!

Fantastic tour of Golden Temple and border ceremony. It is definitely worth the early start as getting to the temple early is beautiful and much less crowded. Amrit’s knowledge and warmth was very special and he is very passionate about Sikh history. The visit to his farm was very interesting. The border visit is a like going to a giant sporting event-well worth it.

100% recommend this experience. You get to see all the main Amritsar highlights in a day. It’s a long day, but well worth it, and Amritpal was kind enough to let me have a rest in the middle of it! The early wake up for the Golden Temple was amazing and something I will remember forever - Amritpal was able to show me parts of the grounds that the average visitor doesn’t know about. Other highlights included driving a tractor, having some of the best saag I’ve ever had, and the atmosphere at the Wagah Border ceremony.

The morning ritual in the golden temple was very impressive. Our guide Amrit told us a lot of exciting things about Sikhism during the tour. We will also remember the visit to his village and the lunch very well.

I have been reading about Sikhism before visiting the city and let me tell you I learned more about it in 10 minutes with Amrit than I did from my 8 hours of reading. He has a gift for storytelling and making complex topics like a religion very easy to understand. The entire tour was outstanding and well planned, me being a history buff love the fact that so much knowledge was exchanged and we were encouraged to ask questions over and over again.

I had never hoped this would turn out so good. This is unique and perspective tourism at its best. I personally loved the village experience and the Golden Temple visit the most. You really get to be a Punjabi for a day. Amrit was phenomenal with his stories and his ability to get us to right place at right time. By the end of the day we had become friends and it was hard to say good bye. This tour should be the gold standard for all other tours.

I take teams of educators to Amritsar every year, and we always do a tour of Golden Temple. This was one of the best experiences we've had! I'll definitely book with you again and again!

Mr. Gill is an amazing professional and devout Sikh. That combination helped us understand Sikhism and the beautiful ceremonies at Sri Harminder Sahib (The Golden Temple) in Amritsar. Starting at 4 am we witnessed the holiest Sikh manuscript - the Guru Granth Sahib - and also living document representing the Guru - ceremonially brought from the Akal Thakt to the Temple. The reverence (Shraddha) and beauty of this ceremony has to be witnessed to be understood. He also should us to the Deep Singh temple where the order of the day was given at 6 am followed by beautiful morning prayers in Gurbani at the Sanctum Santorum of the temple. We were explained the history of Sikhs and also got a good tour of the community kitchen - Langar - and were able to join in a sumptuous meal. Jallianwala Bagh and lunch at his house followed by Wagah border completed a long and eventful day. Mr. Gill autographs his work with excellence - he evokes a mystery and beauty to the city of Amritsar. His kindness and generosity were Deeply appreciated. Sat Sri Akal🙏🏼
