My friend & I travelled to Beijing for the first time. As we were only there for 6 days our schedule was quite tight so we didn’t want to waste any time. On one of the days we decided to do a half day private tour to the Summer Palace & Old Summer Palace. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Lucy met us at the hotel, on time and went through the itinerary. She arranged everything and gave us detailed information and history about the Palaces. What I really liked was apart from being very polite, kind and engaging is that she didn’t give too much information. It was just enough and to the point. Some guides give way too much and you cannot take it all in but Lucy was perfect. To finish off she took us to this amazing local restaurant called Xian’r Lao Man where we had fried, boiled dumplings & other delicious dishes. Thank you so much for everything you did for us and if we come back we will defiantly find you again. Hope to see you soon, maybe in Hong Kong😉 From Nico & Simon.ojh1219

We went on a tour with Lucy. Lucy was ready for us at the hotel lobby when we went down about 5-10 min before the meeting time. Lucy is very pleasant to talk to, with fluent english. Lucy called up the driver promptly. The drive to New summer palace was smooth. Lucy walked with us in a nice pace, explaining all the history and highlights. About an 1-2 stroll around the New palace, we drove to the Old palace...Personally I preferred the new palace, but it was interesting to see the both site for the comparison, and we didn't waste any time at any moment. We all went to a Beijing restaurant for lunch. Lucy was so kind and attentive, asking us for any restrictions on diet and how much spice we can tolerate. We enjoyed lunch a lot, especially when it is so difficult to order at the local restaurant when you don't speak any Chinese. We were dropped off at our hotel promptly after lunch. The whole tour seemed very well planned, and it was pleasure to have Lucy as our tour guide. She was very knowledgable, and my partner REALLY enjoyed talking to Lucy (about Chinese history and lifestyle) The driver was nice as well, making sure if we had enough water to drink...very attentive!
