The All Day Adventure with Tico Tours was a blast. From zip lining, to horse back riding, to water rafts. We had a great tour guide (Marco) and had an overall awesome experience. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the Guancaste area

We had an incredible time on our all day adventure. Gabriel picked up up and drove us to our destination. Once we got there we got geared up and began with zip lining! This was a blast and very well organized. We all felt safe & enjoyed the thrill of first time zip lining. We had someone taking our pics & they did not disappoint! Lots of fun action photos. Next up we rode horses. Again we all felt safe and had a nice calm time o0n the horses. Next up was white water tubing! This was another incredible adventure! A quick paced ride that alternated between a lazy river & fast paced tubing. Perfect weather, minimal bugs & lots of fun. We then took a break & grabbed a bite to eat. The buffet had plenty to choose from & was very tasty! Next up was a mud bath & natural hot springs. Another first for our group! Very fun & super relaxing after a full day of activity! We would definitely recommend this all day adventure! Gabriel was wonderful at getting us there & back safely & answering all our questions! Another day we chartered a sunset catamaran. Our whole family agreed this was the highlight of our trip. Again the weather was perfect! Christian was our guide & got us to the boat, made delicious cocktails, led our snorkeling expedition and kept us entertained! Captain Alex navigated the boat & while we were snorkeling, he whipped up some delicious guacamole, pico de gallo & black bean dip. Such a great light treat after the afternoon on the water. Highly recommend this activity. One our last nights there we had Adrian pick us up & take us to dinner & then he cam back for us. He was delightful! Tico Tours was wonderful to work with & we would highly recommend!!Our family of 5 visited Costa Rica in November 2021. Our family of 5 visited Costa Rica in November 2021. One of the tours we did was through Tico Tours and they customized a tour for us with horseback riding, River tubing, zip lining, and hot springs in the Rincon de la Vieja area. IT WAS AMAZING!! Our driver, Jose, was so kind, sweet, and informative. He took care of us all day and pointed out multiple things about the local culture and where things are located and made sure our kids were happy and comfortable. I would do this tour with Jose again in a heartbeat! I will point out the river tubing was explained by the people running it as a “level 2” rapid, but this was seriously more like a level 4. It was amazing and we all had fun, but it was very rough at times. Anyone with young kids need to beware of this part. But again, shout out to Jose! We feel like he is now our Costa Rican Tico cousin!!! A definite must do!! Thank you Jose!!We book through Tico Tours every time we are in Costa Rica (2-3 times per year). We book through Tico Tours every time we are in Costa Rica (2-3 times per year). Their guides are exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful and their vans are super modern with water and beer (sometimes) - also equipped with Wifi.. The great thing about booking through them is you can bring all your stuff and leave them on the vans and not worry.. also, they have curated the tours to the standard that American tourists look for.. highly recommend Ciru and Marco.Recommending, organizing and executing a day of adventure for 15 people with a wide age range is no small task, but Tico Tours met our challenge and exceeded our lofty expectations. Recommending, organizing and executing a day of adventure for 15 people with a wide age range is no small task, but Tico Tours met our challenge and exceeded our lofty expectations. Our action-packed day at Buena Vista proved to be the perfect destination filled with new and diverse experiences for all. We were picked up punctually in a very comfortable Tico Tour bus and enjoyed an entertaining and informative discussion by our expert guide, Marco, who was eager to answer our questions and meet our needs/requests throughout the day. The planned activities flowed seamlessly beginning with a personalized, exhilarating zip line experience (spectacular views!) tailored to one's ability, a delicious Tico lunch and then a refreshing, high-speed glide down the water slide. After an educational lesson on the processing of sugar cane and cultural traditions, we mounted our well-trained horses and meandered through the forest to our final destination - mud baths, thermal spa, hot springs and refreshments. Not only was it a spectacular day filled with amazing experiences, but also an opportunity to experience Costa Rica first hand. If you are seeking a well-planned and executed adventure, we would highly recommend relying on the professionalism and expertise of Tico Tours. Our family used Tico Tours for 3 separate tours on 3 different days including horseback riding, a buggy tour and a day trip to Rio Perdido. Our family used Tico Tours for 3 separate tours on 3 different days including horseback riding, a buggy tour and a day trip to Rio Perdido. We loved all 3 and had 2 children aged 4 and 6 along. This was our 5th trip to Costa Rica and we were looking for new experiences. Ian helped modify as needed to be age appropriate, especially Rio Perdido. Horseback riding was awesome, horses well cared for and our guide had water for us. We chose to have the kids ride with us but our oldest could have had her own horse. I rode as a child and was pleased my horse listened to commands and I was able to gallop independently once we got to the beach. We also saw monkeys while riding. I recommend long shorts or pants and bug spray. The buggy tour was safe with kids, the seat belts are robust and modifiable to fit little kids. They provided goggles and gaiters for dust. Tour included a stop at a waterfall for swimming (very shallow / safe) and the guide stopped for us to see monkeys and birds - he was great with the kids and had water/juice in the cooler. Rio Perdido was probably our favorite, it’s a special place. We hiked, swam in the thermal river, painted ourselves with mud and finished in the pools where we met other children and enjoyed margaritas/smoothies at the swim up bar. Kids were definitely welcome, and thankfully ours were on their best behavior. Not sure rowdy kids would be very welcomed in the serene atmosphere. We appreciated having Marco as a guide. We stopped for breakfast, Marco shared fun facts along the way, told us where to go at Rio Perdido which helped the day flow with ease. Having a driver also made the swim up bar a treat. Rio Perdido has great food, convenient lockers and towels, even bug repellent available. Great COVID-19 protocols throughout. We will be return customers for sure!
