The day started well with a 2 hour tour of the old town, however our guide on several occasions needed to consult her phone to find places of interest. We looked around a coral museum (entrance fee not included) and were then collected by car. We drove along the coast with a couple of stops to point out beaches/beauty spots & then taken to lunch at the home of our hostess. The lunch was very good, consisting of antipasto, grilled aubergine & tempura courgette, spaghetti, ravioli & sweet ravioli filled with cheese & lemon for dessert. We had red wine made at the home of the hostess with lunch. My main problem is that the tour itinerary also included “a visit to an archeological site, visit to a local winery and an olive oil producer tasting their products while learning about ancient production methods still in use today”. We didn’t do any of this. So at £140 each, this was a very expensive 2 hour walk & lunch!
