What to expect
The Zambezi River is home to an abundance of different fish species. Of all the species, the Tiger Fish is the key species we target with Catch and Release being a huge part of what we practice. As one of the largest - pound for pound - freshwater fighting fish on the planet, it makes for an experience like non other. In Victoria Falls we offer a rare opportunity to experience this. The Zambezi River is the fourth longest in Africa making for some of the best fishing in Africa.
We offer 3hr, 4hr, Half-Day and Full-Day Trips.
As an example, our full fishing packages will commence early in the morning with a number of breaks during the day, including lunch spent under one of the ever-shady trees along the bank of the river, and a siesta not long after, resting peacefully in one of our hammocks and watching the world go by. Our full-day trips include a continental breakfast, lunch with drinks and sundowners. Pick up will be at 06:30am from agreed pick-up point, and we will have you back at your pre-arranged drop off by 17.00.
Meeting point
We will pick you up from where-ever you are, within Victoria Falls and from the Victoria Falls Airport. We will also drop you off at your desired location within the same area. This will be included in the price of your activity.

Zimbabwe is one of the best kept secrets in travel, such a hidden gem! Clint was an extremely knowledgeable and personal guide that made this trip with my friends so much fun! Thanks to Clints expertise we were able to safely see elephants, zebras, kudu, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, vultures, and impala. Our photos turned out so great, they look like they are from National Geographic! In Hwange, we saw so many gorgeous big cats, it’s so amazing to watch them in the wild. Waking up to the sunrise over the Zambezi River in the Zambezi National Park is a breathtaking sight and one I will never forget! Our favorite part while camping was listening to the wildlife noises that completely surrounded us. In the evenings, we would have sundowners and listen to Clints vast knowledge of the bush and his life experiences growing up there. We were luckily enough to meet his better half, Kelly, and hear about her experiences of working directly with wildlife in the area. Her passion for conservation is infectious, she is fighting for real change to help preserve the amazing wildlife here. This trip was absolutely unreal! We are already looking forward to returning in a year or two to experience more breathtaking national parks and countries with Clint as our trusty guide! Clint is excellent at what he does, we recommend him and his services to anyone traveling in the area! Keep it going Umdingi Safaris! Amazing work!Clint was an amazing guide!! Clint was an amazing guide!! We ended up doing a mobile safari & he took us to multiple spots where we saw tons of wildlife! We saw a wild rhino in Matobo! To top it all off, we wrapped out our days with wine at sunset and a campfire. We didn’t know what to expect but thankfully there were warm showers when we were camping and the chef there handled my friend’s gluten-free diet restrictions like a pro! Already have friends quizzing me for recommendations for their trips and would without a doubt recommend this one!! Having grown up in Zimbabwe it was normal to have childhood experiences like going camping and trips to the national parks to see all the animals. Having moved to the uk I just knew I had to plan a trip back to Africa with my partner so I could share similar experiences with him. I could not wait to book a trip with umdingi safari as I knew this would be just what we needed. If there is one way to truly experience the great African bush I would say hands down the best way is with umdingi. Clint is one of the most passionate down to earth and funny tour guides. The African spirit comes alive as soon as the journey in the Land Rover begins. We got to see some of the most magical moments in hwange national game park. We learnt so much from Clint. Some many interesting facts and wonderful stories. Assembling the camp for the night next to a water hole whilst the buffalo and elephant drank peacefully. Never in our wildest dreams did we expect to see two lions approach the water hole whilst scaring off the other animals. One of the next nights we set up camp at another watering hole. This turned out to be a magnificent once in a lifetime moment. We sat down with a cup of tea watching the elephants, hippos, crocodiles and one lonely little warthog when in the distance we saw a cloud of dust appearing closer and larger. Wow hundreds of buffalo marching in line towards the water hole. Our cameras were clicking videos recording but for a moment we took a breathe looked around and just sat in awe knowing that this feeling could never be captured in a photo. I could keep writing about our amazing safari experience with umdingi but I would rather tell you to take the chance and create your own memories with Clint. If you want to live the African dream then what are you waiting for. Book with umdingi you will not regret it. Our second trip was planned already. Although we did not expect the second trip to top the first it once again was an amazing trip in African wilderness. We camped in the Zambezi national park. After setting up camp we sat around the camp fire with the sun setting whilst listening to Clint share his fishing stories. Out of nowhere we heard movement and we were privileged to watch a heard of elephants drink from the river edge. I have hundreds of photos from the trip, some really great photo opportunities but overall the memories from the trip will stay with me forever. If you want a priceless African adventure then I definitely recommend you book in a trip with Clint - Umdingi SafarisWe went fishing with Clint! It was an amazing experience. We plan to schedule a camping safari next time with him. He is an amazing guide and very knowledgeable. He made this amazing drink with a sprig of mint! It’s one of his specials make sure you try it!
