Introduction to fresh vegetables, fruits and authentic Thai food that local people eat everyday.
Thailand is divided into two sections: tourist areas and local areas. They are totally different from each other, and most foreigners only get to know the tourist ones. Have you visited a local market in Thailand? Maybe “Yes” and maybe “No”. If the answer is “Yes”, you might have ended up with many questions, for example:
• Why is everything in the open air? Is it safe to do that? The pork, fish, chicken… They have no ice!
• Why do they put everything in plastic bags?
• Do local people really eat insects or is it just a tourist thing?
• Dessert! Do Thai people eat dessert?
• Uhmm… I want to try that but I'm not sure. What is inside of it?

11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Walking with the food that we bought at the market and taking it to the park, and having lunch there.

- No big bags or luggage, but make sure you have your camera. You might want to capture the moment you will eat a silk worm, ant egg or pink egg!

Martha and her team are spectacular! She makes cooking easy and fun, no experience needed. Going to the market to purchase the ingredients was a worthy experience in itself. We made so much food we couldn't even finish it all! Please give this class a try, you won't regret it!

Niti took my daughter and I on a market tour to select fresh ingredients for our Akha meal, and then back to the school to cook it all up! She had a great rapport with all of the vendors at the market. Even though I lived in Thailand for 10 years, Niti introduced me to at least 20 new vegetables...
