Sunset Camel ride Marrakech Palmeraie
Overview
Although the real desert is too far from the city center, about 20 minutes drive away lies an oasis of manicured gardens, sweet-scented orange trees and palm groves that make ideal terrain for a spot of light camel riding.
A driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to meet the camel handlers and their trusty beasts. They will then guide you into the Palmeraie and on through authentic villas and green palm groves.
Discover how the locals live outside the city center. And end with a fresh mint tea.

Had a unique and immersive experience riding camels in Palmerie! Everyone was so kind and genuine, we had a lot of laughs on the camels and our guide also gave us a little photo shoot! Aside from the camels, it was also a nice opportunity to see some of the Palmerie terrain and learn about Berber culture from our guide. We appreciated that there were no hidden costs and the description of the tour was accurate. The booking process was very easy, and the team was able to pick us up at the riad at the requested time and was punctual. We will miss our camels Shakira and Hassan, as well as the lovely team! We were greeted by the camel guides and changed into traditional clothing 🇲🇦 The camel ride lasted 1 hour and finish at sunset which allowed us to take magnificent photos. Great experience and will leave us with very good memories! My family and I had a wonderful, fun experience riding dromedaries for the first time. Our guide was an excellent wrangler of camelids and a pretty darn good photographer/videographer. We didn’t realize until later that his playing Moroccan music out loud on his own phone provided a great soundtrack to our short video clips. You won’t be out in the desert looking for Berbers raiding Morocco (more of a palm preserve with large private estates adjacent), but it provided a fun family experience.
