This experience was a wonderful way to learn about green tea on a much deeper level. Living in Japan for over a decade I consume a lot of green time, but never knew much about the history, growing process, or even how to brew it correctly. I learned all about this and more in Lauren's well thought out presentation. She was very friendly and made sure all the participants were active throughout the experience. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with interest in tea or Japanese culture!I learned a lot about Japanese Green tea and get inspired with learning more about Hojicha and Macha. I learned a lot about Japanese Green tea and get inspired with learning more about Hojicha and Macha. I love the travel food tips on where to go for Macha/ Green Tea lovers on your next visit to Japan. There were 4 of us plus Lauren Shannon who runs the Green Tea session. The whole zoom session was not boring which sometimes you expect from a 1 hour zoom session just talking about travel (instead of doing it). There's a mix of trivia, videos, contest, audience interactions and poll to keep you interested until the end. Would have wanted more demonstration also on brewing Macha which is quite unique green tea from Japan.Learning about the production of green tea, classifications of the world's tea, the right temperature for brewing green tea. It was a lively and interactive teatime with host Lauren who was really knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended for green tea lovers.

It was fun to have tea with other people around the world who share my interest, and it's enriched my understanding/enjoyment of tea! If you're interested in tea or Japan or both, you'll enjoy this experience. This was my first virtual experience with Arigato Japan, and I had a wonderful time. Lauren's extensive knowledge about tea is very impressive, I discovered lots of things about tea I didn't know, and she made this learning experience very fun and entertaining!
