I came to Japan solo and decided to take a group tour to meet some people. I guess I was the only one who wanted to drink on a Monday 😆It just ended up being My tour guide Yoshi and I hitting up the bars. It actually turned out to be an amazing experience. As we traveled from bar to bar he was giving me history and knowledge about beer, sake and even sumo culture. I felt like I was on an episode of Anthony Bourdains show No Reservations. I highly recommend Yoshi as your tour guide when you visit Shinjuku. Very friendly and knowledgeable! This was a really good experience. When you discover a new place, going with someone who knows about it and can tell you the culture, history and fun facts is priceless and is much better than if you had to go by yourself, as you would most likely miss a ton of details. This was a very good idea to take this activity and allowed me to come back a few months later with friends and show them around. Definitely recommended.I took the Shinjuku Neon Nights Tour at the second evening of my 7-day stay in Tokio. Yuko was such an amazing guide, very friendly, knowledgeable and funny. I took the Shinjuku Neon Nights Tour at the second evening of my 7-day stay in Tokio. Yuko was such an amazing guide, very friendly, knowledgeable and funny. That day, I was the only particapant of the tour, but Yuko had some great ideas on what to do and interesting stories to tell on the way. Food and drinks were perfect, and as I was travelling solo, this evening was a very nice way of getting to know the night life and interesting sights of Shinjuku, including the Memory Lane, Kabukicho and the Golden Gai. Even after the tour, Yuko was very helpful and accommodating in finding my way around Shinjuku and sent me information on some excursions outside the city. Arigato gozaimasu, Yuko! :)Carlos showed us a really up close and personal evening into night tour of Tokyo. This one really a highlight of our recent trip. Not to be missed by those who want to see the parts of the city that are hard for tourists to otherwise see.

Meg was a great host..full of stories and laughs. She was very knowledgable about the locations, about the culture and each bar she took us to was very unique. To top that, the small eats included in the first Izakaya we visited were very delicious and unique. I The bars we went to Golden Gai were so unique and different from the run of the mill bars. Meg shared several stories with us, was very patient with our questions and one of the best hosts/guides I have experienced anywhere in the world.
