Probably one of the best tours we e ever taken and we’ve been on several throughout the world. Toni was a guide, with great insight and knowledge about Lyon. So many cool secrets discovered and we were thrilled to be in a small group of interesting people. The tour was worth every penny and more!

Spoke multiple languages, lots of historical facts, did his homework and remembered everyone’s name. I loved this tour from start to finish. Lyon is a beautiful, fascinating place on its own, but our tour guide, Tony, made the history and culture come alive. Super knowledgeable which, of course, is important. But what set this tour high above the many I have taken in the past is the enthusiasm and passion that Tony showed for his adopted city. He wove stories from his wife’s (Lyon native) family into the stories of Lyon, especially as a center of the French Resistance during WWII. Take this tour. You will get oriented to the city and its ways.This tour was highly recommended to me by my sister in law who had taken the tour a month before in July. This tour was highly recommended to me by my sister in law who had taken the tour a month before in July. She said Toni was the best walking tour guide she had ever had ( she’s travelled a lot!) and she was right! He was knowledgeable and so entertaining, with an easy manner that put you at ease from the start. He asked everyone questions about where we were from and listened to any information we gave attentively and remembered it! Amazing! He must see so many people yet he made you feel like he was really interested in you. And so generous in his warmth and sincere friendliness. He doesn’t over load with dates from history which, personally, I tune out, yet he imparted lots of information for you to get a great sense of the city and it’s history. His anecdotes were based on his personal experiences and he shared stories he had heard first hand from family members. We went through secret passageways and he pointed out subtle details we would never have seen on our own. He was patient and considerate of all group members. He really brought alive the wonderful city of Lyon as his passion was obvious. And his recommendations were spot on! From where to eat and what to see. He even sent us ( within the hour) a text with all the recommendations he had made during the tour and extra ones for Avignon where we were due next. Fabulous! Would highly recommend.Toni was fantastic. Very funny , very personable. During the tour he was very informative, showed us many things in Lyon that my wife and I would never have seen.. After the tour he sent a what's app message to everyone with recommendations of bars, restaurants and sights to see. We were going to Marseille after Lyon and he even sent recommendations of places to go to get a good bouillabaisse there. Terrific guy, do a tour with Toni and you will have a great time.The tour was extremely entertaining and informative thanks to our perfect guide Tony who mixed history with real stories from the people of Lyon.
