Don't hesitate to book this! We had an amazing time on this tour. Without a doubt the best we've ever done! It's a fun way to see all the sights and a really memorable experience. Alessandro (hope I've got that right!) was our guide. He's so knowledgeable about his city but keeps the amount of info at just the right level. He made it so much fun and it was easy to hear everything through the headset. All the stops were amazing! As was the brekkie provided as part of the tour. We saw so much in just a few hours. We're a family of 3 with a teenage son (13) and we all loved it. Our other driver, Massimo also looked after us very well. The whole trip is professionally run but all the drivers are so friendly. I'll be recommending this to any friends visiting Rome. 5* tour!! Thanks Alessandro and your team!

Mateo who led our tour was amazing! His information was so insightful, it’s exactly what you look for in a tour: a complete and engaging commentary about the history of Rome and livelihood of its locals. It also has headphones which makes sure you always hear your guide giving a live explanation of all the sights you pass. Our drivers Manuel and Rafa were so kind and helpful, they always made sure we were comfortable and even stayed with our dog while we went inside the Pantheon! We’re all very tall in our family and everyone below 1.90m fit perfectly in the sidecar!

So much fun!!!! Saw so many sites and ones you wouldn’t find yourself. Everyone was taking our pictures. We were like celebrities. Flavio was our driver and he was so attentive. Alex gave us the commentary via a radio-ear piece. Brilliant! This was highlight of my trip. Cappuccino and croissant is were so good. The seat behind the driver is very comfortable and very roomy. The sidecar is very cute.

So much fun, excellent and entertaining, and the drivers were careful and courteous too. They stopped a number of times, took our pictures, gave us cold bottled waters, breakfast, and recommended lunch spots. Highly recommended!

Friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. Drivers were pros on the vespas and I always felt safe and comfortable! Super fun way to experience Rome. We saw the best views and had great photo opportunities. The cappucino/cornetto stop was a plus and didn’t feel rushed at all. It made for a relaxing morning activity. I would love to do it again next time I’m in Rome!

I’m so glad we did this, we had the absolute best time exploring Rome on a Vespa! I recommend doing this the first full day you’re in Rome. It will give you a quick guide of basically the entire city. Then any place you’d like to spend more time at, you can explore after. Our guide was great, and it was so much fun. We stopped at the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Colosseum, a little cafe, and had plenty of time to take photos. Highly recommend!

It was my daughter's birthday and they made it extra special for her. We missed our flight to Rome and had to reschedule our tour to the day after the original time. The tour company was extremely responsive via text and was extremely empathetic with my situation and didn't charge me anything to cancel or to switch to a different day last minute. I even added 2 more people in the end because my parents were able to join us that day. It was a perfect 3 hour tour complete with a nice birthday croissant and hot chocolate for the princess! The tour was excellent and narrated nicely. As a small group, it was nicely planned from point to point and we made it to all the sights outlined on the website on time, with ample opportunity to get off for photos and a breather before hopping back on to the next site. Vespas, helmets were very clean. Would definitely recommend it and even encourage the rest of my friends and family to book this specific tour when they hit Rome.

What could be better than zipping around Rome on Vespas with sidecars?! On this tour you will not only experience the fun of the ride itself, but will also be getting a great overview of some of Rome's top sights and various neighborhoods. The guide and drivers were wonderful and make the experience that much more perfect! Thank you Vespa Sidecar Tour for doing an amazing job from start to finish!

Was one of the best tours I've done in Rome. The sidecar is a blast. The stop for a cafe and cornetto was an added bonus. Very much recommended.

This was truly a delightful experience. This was our first time in Rome and we decided to do a city tour to get an idea of the layout, what there was to see, etc. This side-car tour was so fun!! Our guide, Matteo, was great! I would recommend this to anyone looking to see all the major sites of Rome!

The tour guides were absolutely exceptional and charismatic! They made the experience so fun for my sisters and I. The views were amazing and had a chance to stop and take so many pictures at every monument without feeling rushed. Will absolutely do this again if I have the chance

This was an incredible experience. We took our family of 4 with an 11 yo boy and 14 yo girl. All of us said this was the best thing we did during our trip to Rome. It was a fabulous introduction to many different spots. Alessio was our guide and he was very informative and funny. Massimo was our other driver and he was also terrific. We were initially a bit concerned about safety but they were great drivers and it was really enjoyable - so much so that both kids asked if we could do it again.

The tour is well designed and the service was exceptional. The day of my tour the forecast was heavy rain. They suggested I cancel for full refund but I wanted to take changes and kept the tour. It did rain the next day and the tour guide and Vespa driver made it happen for us in the rain. We covered the whole tour and it was just my family. They didn't compromise on the tour and we had full experience. Can't thank them enough, as that was our last day in Rome and they made it happen.

Ever since I was decades younger I had always wanted to visit Rome and go sightseeing on a vespa. A look back to the movie "Roman Holiday"-I wanted that experience! Fast forward to my husband and I both much older-he was 81 and I was 78-and planning for our first trip to Italy with a lengthy stay in Rome. I realized that driving a vespa ourselves was not feasible for us so I got some recommendations from folks on Trip Advisor and landed on this company. It was perfect for us. I contacted the company via e-mail to their web site with many questions and always got prompt replies/answers. So I booked this for us for 9/18/2023. I booked this many months before our arrival in Rome. There is the option of switching between riding in the sidecar or sitting behind the driver. There are some restrictions as to age and weight. Cost for the 2 of us was 230€/$254.01. I was torn between the morning tour and the afternoon tour. I decided on the morning tour as it included a stop at Gianicolo/Janiculum Hill. At noon there is a canon firing that takes place and I thought it would be nice to see that. The morning tour includes a stop for cappuccino while the afternoon tour does a stop for gelato. Web site listed the sights we would see: Quirnale, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo, St. Peter's Square, Gianicolo/Janiculum Hill, Trastevere & Jewish ghetto, Pantheon, Piazza Venezia, Santa Maria Maggiore, Colosseum. We would return to the meet point at the end of the tour which would take 3 hours. For us it was around 3 1/2 hours. We took a taxi from our hotel to the vespa tour meet up point which was Piazza della Repubblica. Time to meet was 9:00 am. We got there by 8:15 am! No way was I going to miss this tour. Plus it gave us time to really take in the Piazza and the sights here. The Piazza is a huge area and I am concerned about where we should be waiting. I asked at the tobacco/news stand where our taxi dropped us off and was told right where we are is where the sidecars will arrive. Then we hear them. We see them. So many lovely colors. Red, gold, dark blue....... By now there's more people waiting with us. We check in with a really nice guy who appears to be the leader of this tour. There were I think 5 vespas-so 10 in our group. We're fitted with helmets for safety and are given an earpiece headset so we can follow along with what we're seeing. We are going to be on the dark blue vespa. We take pictures. I'm pleased at how comfortable the sidecar is with enough room to stretch out my legs. By 9:22 am we're off! We will zip around roundabouts, drive down narrow and wider streets. People will wave at us and we'll wave back. Some people even take pictures of us on our vespas as we go by! I am loving this! So much fun! We start off by going around the roundabout a few times in the Piazza della Repubblica while we listen to the information about it from our headsets. Semicircular. Was part of the Baths of Diocletian. Church there-Santa Maria degli Angelo. In the middle of this piazza is the Fontana delle Naida-4 bronze nymphs reclining on sea horse for the oceans, a water snake for rivers, a swan for lakes, and a frilled lizard for subterranean streams. Figure in the middle is of the sea god Glaucus who represents man victorious over the hostile forces of nature. Great commentary and I won't expand as much as we continue the tour but you get the idea of how much information you will receive on this tour. Fun-yes but also a lot of insight/information about Rome. Past the statues of Castor and Pollux-patrons of horsemanship. Palazzo del Quirnale. Used to be papal summer residence but now is the official residence of the president of Italy. We make a stop and park the vespas. Short walk to the Trevi Fountain-Rome's largest and most famous fountain. Not many people here and there are men in the water. Our guide explains that today is Monday and the men are cleaning/clearing/getting the coins that have been tossed in. I think he also said that the money is used for helping those who need help-charity purposes. So there is a barrier that prevents us from getting as close to the fountain as would be normal. My husband tosses his coin and just misses the rear statues! Strong arm. Alas, my weak arm throwing ability doesn't allow my coin to get into the water. The idea/legend is that you toss your coin-right hand over left shoulder-and if it goes into the water you will return to Rome. I try a second time, then a third-no luck. The guide tells me that if your second coin goes in you will find love, the third is you will marry. *We do return to the Trevi Fountain another day-no barriers-my coin makes it in on the first try! Back on the vespas we ride past the Victor Emmanuel Monument in Piazza Venezia. Another stop. Pantheon. I was surprised to learn that we actually enter and have a guided tour by our vespa leader. I had prebooked tickets for this another day but now I am doing this on today's vespa tour! Fantastic. Our guide gave us so much information and even took pictures of us. He had us stand in a certain spot and the result is that you end up looking elongated! Right next to the Pantheon is a cafe where we stop for our cappuccino. We also get croissants/cornettos. Yummy. We're given time for a rest room break here if needed. Back on our vespas and off past the obelisk of Santa Maria Sopra Minerva and the church SM Sopra Minerva. We ride on the road behind the Spanish Steps as vehicles not allowed right at the SS. Piazza del Popolo. Twin churches SM dei Miracoli and SM in Montesanto. Santa Maria del Popolo. Then we catch a glimpse of the Vatican-the walls, the dome of St. Peter's Basilica. Vehicles not allowed in St. Peter's Square. We ride through a tunnel to get to Giancolo/Janiculum Hill. Another stop. Just in time for the canon firing. It was amazing as were the views from up here. A quick stop by Fontana dell'Acqua Paola. Heading into areas of Trastevere and the Jewish ghetto. Across the Tiber River. Market. Graffiti. Last stop-Colosseum. Time to take pictures. Pictures of us. Pictures of 4 of our vespa drivers. I think our guide is not in the picture I took. We're told that we can end the tour here if we want or return to the original meet spot. Our hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk from the Colosseum so my husband and I leave the group here. It's now 12:36 pm. I can't remember if we ever saw Santa Maria Maggiore on this tour as stated on the website but we'll visit this church another day while in Rome so .......... I did give a nice tip as did others on this tour. Best money you will spend. You will see so much. Much more than the places listed on the website itinerary. You will learn so much. You will have so much fun! My only regret was not writing down the names of our driver and the leader of this tour. All the guys were great! I have fulfilled my dream of riding a vespa (sidecar counts!) through Rome!

Allessio was an amazing guide, full of historical knowledge and fun facts. Both he and Manuel were skilled drivers and they made the ride very fun. Given the unique travel mode of the colorful Vespa sidecars, you’ll get a lot of interested looks from bystanders as you traverse the downtown roads. We would highly recommend this tour! It is a fun filled and rewarding opportunity to see the Roman sites and make a few friends along the way.

We had a fantastic time on this tour, it a must if your time in Rome is limited as it’s a whistle stop tour of all the best sights. Our driver and guide were so friendly and professional and couldn’t do enough to make this a great experience and ensure that we had a great time. I was a little dubious about the the traffic at first but of course I needn’t have worried, it was like flying in formation with the drivers managing the traffic for each other and we felt safe the whole way round. I would not hesitate to do this again if we go back to Rome, in fact it was brilliant, just do it!🛵🛵🛵 Thanks so much for a great morning.
