Andrew our guide was absolutely the best guide we have ever experienced. He made our tour the highlight of our 10 day vacation. His passion for the history of Pompeii cannot be riveted. Ask for him if you ever go to Pompeii you will not be disappointed.

We toured with Sasha who, as a local, not only knows everything there is to know about Pompeii and its history, but took us on a path that kept us in the shade on a very hot sunny day. This attention to our comfort was a small thing that made a big difference. While we were on the tour, we discussed the fact that his father started as a guide in Pompeii in the mid-60's and we ran into another group being led by his uncle. If his father and uncle are kings of Pompeii... Sasha is a prince in the Pompeii tour guide royal family and we were lucky to have him guide us.

try to get directly to the tour operators' than you will have less a chance to get "confirmed but not guaranteed"?!

My wife and I had a private tour of Capri, Sorrento and Pompei with our guide Michele, who was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Campania and the amazing locations we visited. Our day started with a ferry ride from the Port of Naples to Capri, where we took a chair lift ride to the top of Anacapri (the town that sits above Capri), where there are amazing 360 degree views of the surrounding bays and coastlines. Terrific photo opportunities. That was followed by a leisurely tour of elsewhere in Capri, which is stunningly beautiful, learned some more of its history, had a gelato (of course) and then took the Funicular (tram) down from the main piazza to the marina for a quick boat ride to Sorrento, where Michele provided a wonderful recommendation for lunch. But the most amazing part of the day was when we visited Pompeii, where Michele's talents really shined. His detailed descriptions of the history in Pompeii before the great eruption made you feel as if you living and experiencing daily life as it was then. We would highly recommend this tour and Michele's tour guide services.

Francesco met us at the train station in Naples- the train was 30 minutes late😬- he took our bags and drove us to Pompeii. We chatted along they way and he then turned us over to Claudia. Claudia’s love and passion for art and history showed in her fantastic Pompeii tour. After Pompeii, which we highly recommend, he took us to our Positano accommodations. We even ended up booking thru this same company for our drive back. Very reasonably price for a Mercedes in Italy

What a great day yesterday! My husband and I are on our honeymoon and absolutely enjoyed our day seeing the volcano, Ercolano and Pompei with Nunzio (our driver) and Michele (our guide). Both were very professional and knowledgeable. We had just finished our stay in Rome and were trying to figure out the best way to get down to Positano. We took the train to Naples, were picked up at the station and had a day of tours/hikes before being dropped off at our place in Positano. Our bags were kept safe, we had a nice lunch, and what would’ve been just a day of travel ended up being a big day of history!

Our tour with Gianluca and Michele was excellent. They were both very knowledgeable about all of the sites and were very accommodating. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a thorough and hassle free tour of the sites.

Our tour with Gianluca was great. He was timely, very accommodating, explained everything along the tour well, easy to understand and chat with, was very helpful with our air bnb host helping us find our apartment easily, very clean van to transport us. Our Pompeii tour with Michele was also great. He was timely, friendly, very informative, took us to places the big tours wouldn’t have taken us, he asked what we preferred to see and know along the tour, he was funny and easy to chat with-which we enjoyed. Over all we would recommend your company and tours to friends and family that travel here!

By far one of the best trips/tours I've been on! Cannot recommend highly enough! It was absolutely incredible to see multiple views of this human-landmark and be able to witness it in person.

Sasha and his team made our trip for our daughter's 16th birthday incredibly special. They arranged everything and our schedule was incredible. The Capri private boat was so special, we were all so happy that we did that rather than a ferry ride to the island. The girls thought they were 'rock stars'. Antonin, our skipper, was very personable and catered to all our requests. Marie Claire in Pompeii was so knowledgeable, her tour was great. My daughter, Alex, is a Latin student and loved that what she learned in school she actually saw and used her knowledge to translate along the tour. Each day was better than the next. We enjoyed being driven around by Tony, Marco and John Lucca, it was not only a chance to explore and see the region, the beautiful coastline, all the "mamma mia" roads, but also we got to know them, hear about their families, their views on lifestyle, some politics which is extremely important in understanding Italian culture, it was a different and important type of education away from the historical aspects. Again, we can't thank you enough for making this trip so special, it will be extremely difficult to top this vacation! You and your team thought of everything, thank you thank you!

In a word, the tour was "awesome." Marco was right on time waiting for us at our villa. He is a great driver and his welcoming personality made the journey to and from Pompei relaxed, informative and enjoyable. Paolo was a very knowledgable and accommodating guide -- we could have spent several more hours learning from him. Together Marco and Paolo make an excellent team. My wife was not up for the trip but when we return to Italy we would be delighted to book another tour with Marco and Paolo and we would recommend them to friends and family.

I booked my tour for two via Trip Advisor. Thankfully I checked the status and lo and behold this tour company canceled my tour with no notification since we were a group of only two. Mind you, there is nothing on the site stating you need at least 8 people as the person I spoke with stated. So be careful if booking with this company. You may just be canceled with no notice! Now I need to speak with my credit card company about getting my money back..

Our tour was amazing!! Luca and Veronica were wonderful, so friendly and knowledgeable! My brother is a huge history buff and they tailored the tour to get more in depth on the parts he was interested in. Luca, our driver, was a wealth of knowledge about the Naples region. On the drive, he spoke about the history of the region and its people! We had a wonderful time and highly recommend!

Myself and 5 friends stayed in Meta di Sorrento for 4 days in mid-May. As we were not in central Sorrento (and had no car), and we only had a handful of days, we were looking at the most efficient way to see all the sights we wanted. We were a group of 6 and we did the private day tour, covering Vesuvius, Herculaneum and Pompeii. We found the day to be absolutely brilliant, well-planned, comfortable, informative, and really enjoyable. I asked Daria a lot of questions in advance of booking the trip, as I wanted to ensure the price was worth it - it definitely was! Daria was amazingly helpful, answering emails at all times of day and even answering questions when I'd asked them before but I just wanted assurance or to double check. I had a number of random questions which she helped us with, including dietary requirements, our ever changing AirBnb address, and rules for flying drones. She was very patient and helpful. Thank you Daria! We were picked up from our holiday flat at 8am by our driver. He introduced himself and explained our day. I was aware beforehand that the itinerary of our activities might change, as the traffic can be so bad around the Gulf of Sorrento! And different attractions are busy at different times. On the whole, we were definitely taken on the most efficient route - we didn't wait in traffic at all, and at none of the 3 stops did we ever have to wait and queue (EXCEPT for the toilet at Herculaneum, but that's to be expected!). We did also have 'skip the queue' tickets included which I imagine helped. As we drove to our first stop - Vesuvius - our driver Elio explained the towns and sights along the way. He was very chatty and we enjoyed the conversation. Elio dropped us off at Vesuvius, after giving us our tickets - we climbed to the summit and back down in just over an hour and a half (I recommend walking boots). There are big walking sticks available if you want. We were a group of 6 in our late 20s. We arrived just as a large walking group were unloading from a coach. As we were ahead of them, we felt like we almost had the volcano to ourselves as I'm pretty sure we were the first onces there. Even though it was cloudy, this did mean we got some great photos. We were a bit late to meet Elio but he understood we were on holiday time so he did not mind. Next we drove to Herculaneum to meet our archeologist guide. I just want to mention quickly, for those of you concerned about such things, that there were toilet facilities at Vesuvius, Herculaneum, and Pompeii. They were all free. The ones at Vesuvius were a bit like park toilets, but what do you expect?? It took us maybe 5 minutes to warm to our guide Francisco, I suspect he thought we might be a bit young and make a lot of jokes, but I think once he understood we were really interested in the history of the ruins, we had a really good time together. He is an archaeologist and told us about the digs he had worked on in Pompeii and the digs they are still doing. He took us all around Herculaneum and explained its history, people who lived their, architecture, and he didn't mind when I asked about the differences in how it was destroyed compared to Pompeii (a bit morbid I suppose). He was a bit eccentric and funny but obviously he really enjoyed history and his job; we really thought he was great. After Herculaneum we went to Pompeii. Our driver offered if we wanted to have lunch and wine at a winery on Vesuvius. While it sounded lovely, we wanted as much time as possible at the ruins. We asked if we could just grab a quick bite to eat, so he took us to the cafe at the entrance to Pompeii, which was completely adequate, not too pricey, and an okay loo. We had Francisco again as our guide for Pompeii so he could show us how the two sites compared. He asked us a lot to draw our own comparisons between the two places, saying "stepping into Pompeii is like stepping into a time machine" and he was absolutely correct. Although we only had a few hours in Pompeii, Francisco took us on a very efficient tour of the highlights - including the 'Beware of the Dog' sign. When we got to the infamous brothel ruins, there was a long queue. Francisco explained that we could wait in the queue for 30 minutes, or we could see more of Pompeii. He explained what it was like inside, and that you only really get a quick minute to look, so we decided to not bother with the brothel. A member of our group had a very small criticism that we could have stopped for longer to take photos in Pompeii, however we did have a lot of sights to get around and I think that I am glad we were able to cover so much of it. My lasting memory of our guiide was how he told us about all the trees and flowers, often throughout the day he would pick a leaf and roll it in his fingers so we could smell the scent. It might sound a bit weird, but it was really interesting! We also had some great discussions around the displays of power, military and economic, and how this was shown in the buildings and trees. I really learned a lot. We had a quiet journey back with our driver, arriving back at about 6pm. Overall, this was easily the best day we had in Italy. A really enjoyable and efficient trip. It was lovely to have the luxury of a private tour and driver, and every one of our group really enjoyed it (and thanked me for arranging it too!) From all of us, a really big thank you to Daria, Elio, and Francisco for giving us a really super and inspirational day out!

We had a transfer from our accommodation in Positano to Pompeii for a two hour private tour of the excavations and then a transfer from Pompeii to Naples. The driver was excellent and gave us lots of information about the area. Our tour guide at Pompeii was very knowledgeable and was able to show us places that large groups weren't able to access. Overall a great experience.
