WHAT WILL WE DO?
After meeting with the group, we'll make our way through the hidden alleyways and over the bridges to discover the real Venice off the tourist track. We will stop at 2 different traditional bars to taste a variety of local wine and "cicchetti" (small dishes similar to the Spanish Tapas).
We will make sure you will get the most out of the history of the city and, of course, of the food culture, so be prepared to be amazed by the secret spots we will show you during the tour!
(Please note: tour stops and final destination may vary depending on opening times of bacari)
Inclusions
- Wine: You will taste 3 different glasses of local wine (or non alcoholic drink)
- Traditional "Cichetti": You will taste a variety of "cichetti" (small side dish similar to Tapas).
- Local qualified guide: we will share local tips and cultural facts during the food tour.

We willpass by this very famous square where local venetians spend their afternoon drinking spritz and hanging out, so you'll have the possibility to experience the local culture

Stop At: Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, San Polo, 3072, 30125 Venice Italy
One of the most prominent churches in the city, the interior is notable for a large number of very grand wall monuments. Many of these are important works in the history of Venetian sculpture.

It is noted for its collection of paintings by Tintoretto and includes some of his finest work

His knowledge of Venetian history was awesome and I loved the extra anecdotes he told which really brought this fabulous city to life.I also expected to have dinner after we had finished the tour but the wine and food Gianmarco ordered for us was so generous there was no room for dinner! I also thought the Enoteca/bars he chose were wonderful,all different so we got to experience a broad selection of venues as well as the food and wine. Gianmarco was our wonderful guide through the maze of small streets, piazzas, and bridges - exciting history and great fun! He is a native Venetian who actually lives in the neighborhood we toured. The Cicchetti (small bites of excellent food) and wine was delicious!! We visited small intimate restaurants during their quiet hours (4-6 pm) so you can dine together and have great conversations. It’s a wonderful experience, made all the more so by Gianmarco’s delightful personality and his deep love and knowledge of Venice!! Highly recommend!!!
