Thank you to Cirin for a fantastic tour of the still remaining remnants of communism in Bucharest. We were picked up promptly at our hotel by Cirin our knowledgable tour guide and Serban the tour company owner. As a child of the 80s Cirin was able to offer personal insight into growing up in Ceausescu’s communist Romania. The real star of the tour was the authentic red 1980s vintage Dacia 1300, which certainly attracted much attention in the rush hour traffic. A wonderful and unique way to experience beautiful Bucharest. Highly recommended! Thank you.Growing up in the 80’s, instilled my love of the Eastern block and interest in its Communist governments. Growing up in the 80’s, instilled my love of the Eastern block and interest in its Communist governments. This trip was everything that I hoped it could be, as it brought back to memory the Cold War. Being able to cruise around in the old car was amazing fun. From the point of when it pulled up in front of my luxury hotel, and as we went from stop to stop— people kept staring at the Dacia. I definitely don’t regret spending a little more on a communist tour to have the opportunity to ride around like it was 1989!This tour has been the most outstanding journey I've ever experienced. I have been leaving in Bucharest for many years, but I have to admit that I was not interested in this type of sightseeing, until now. Your tour is great, well organized, full of information and it made me want to discover more about this city, about this country! I would suggest to everybody coming in Bucharest to experience this, it is an unique and genuine idea! The tour from start to finish was the perfect balance of fun and history. The tour from start to finish was the perfect balance of fun and history. The Dacia cars were stunning and attracted a lot of attention from locals. Although we were too scared to drive - our guide drove, letting us take in all the views and information as we went along for the ride. We were so relieved that we'd arranged to go on the tour because we got to see so many incredible, stunning and eerie buildings from the communist era in addition to our guides personal experience of living through it as a child. Having visited Ceausescu's mansion the day before, this gave this the full history behind the era and his and Elena's cult of a personality which made everything even more shocking. Full of facts and a real, raw insight into the country's dark modern history - we couldn't recommend this tour highly enough. The propaganda and radio building were particularly striking - Thank you so much!!!There are cars and then there is the Dacia. There are countries and then there is Romania. This type of tour - apart from being highly educational - is as close to communism as you would like to get. Driving a Dacia was basically insane for all the right reasons - try the blue one if you' re in...
