We greatly enjoyed Ollie’s enthusiastic narrating skills and Maggie’s(?) entrances and color narrative were extraordinary fun. One of the best viator tours we’ve done.

I am a big fan of tours, but this one takes the cake. Quirky and different, we had a blast exploring Southwark's sordid (disgusting, bloody, smelly) past. Our guide really made the whole scene come to life. If you like being grossed out, I highly recommend it, and will bring my teens next time, too.

Enjoyed learning about the local history of this part of London. We walked to various places along the Thames and learnt about the life of common people of that time; also got the visit of surprised guests. I would not recommend kids attending, we are talking about a dark side of the city, with some very explicite details.

Insightful, informative and interesting. Will is absolutely fantastic, he engaged everyone with his tremendous knowledge and excellent delivery. The actors were top notch, I loved the costumes too! Beautiful, historic locations, including Southwark Cathedral, Borough Market, Winchester Palace remains, London Bridge and Clink Prison. This is some of the best fun you will ever have, the stories you will hear are gruesome but they’re very tongue in cheek. 12+ recommended

Fun and light hearted 2hr stroll around Southwark. Scary Mary fed us increasingly "worse, much worse" morsels of disgusting and grisly tales of lical live throughout history. She was great fun, totally in charachter and keeping our small group involved and amused. Recommended.

This tour was amazing! The guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable about London’s dark side and never ceased to surprise us.

Although I expected a tour along (creepy) historical places, the guide was extremely funny, knowlegable and entertaining!! Even so, after 2+ hrs of standing on chilly streets listening to (rather long) talks, I did long for the end...

First time in London and First time going on one of this type of tour, safe to say I landed on this one in particular and had an unforgettable time, Will and Ben where amazing. I would 100% recommend it, tons of fun with lots of historic lessons.

Mary was fantastic, a very engaging and fun tour guide. The whole family loved Mary and Harold/Mark. The tour content simply wasn't what we expected, should be a 16+ rating. We searched TripAdvisor for "family ghost walks" in London and this tour came up, but this is not a ghost walk. IMO it's not for families, either. Not many actual historic sites visited, but a fun walk if you don't mind the language.

Really enjoyed it, found it very interesting and funny at same time. The host was very freindly,explain things in as much detail as possible ina funny way as well. We enjoyed it..

A brilliant history tour. A really knowledgeable and helpful guide. My ancestors came from the area and he gave us lots of help in piecing together their lives.

If you love learning about off the beaten path London history, this tour is for you! Ollie was our tour guide and did a fantastic job from start to finish. We learned many interesting facts about the south side of London’s history that we wouldn’t have learned elsewhere. Ollie and his counterpart Harold/Mark kept in character, offered comedic relief, and helped us picture ourselves back in time in London. My husband even became part of the show at one point as well, which we all enjoyed! Highly recommend this tour.

What a load of sh1t there was in Southwark back in the period covered. Loved the tour there were only 4 of us and Olly and partner (Ann/Molly) gave it their all. Great value for money and we had a very entertaining evening.

It was a really exciting, immersive tour that allowed you to see the daily struggles of the working class and about London's beginnings in a unique way.

This is easily the best tour we have ever done! We have done some of the other walking tours, some of the sight seeing tours and a few others. This stands out above them all! So gruesome and disgusting and OMG hilarious! Cary is such a fountain of knowledge! The actors that appear and surprise you with historic characters is incredible! Definitely the highlight of our trip!
