This sake (“nihonshu”) tour was so much fun! Our tour guide Kotaro was informative and entertaining. We learned a lot about the history and making of sake, and we were able to taste quite a few different kinds of sake. We learned how to choose the type of sake we like and how to pair it with foods - it was incredible how different the tastes were when the sake was paired with complimentary foods. We can’t wait to do the advance tasting course next time we’re in Kyoto! In a word: awesome! Reiko and Kotaro were knowledgeable and wonderful hosts/guides. The museum at the start of the tour was fascinating and we enjoyed a comprehensive selection of sake sample, along with tasty snacks to pair them with (we didn't need dinner that night). As soon as the experience ended, I wanted to sign up for the Advamced course!this tour was really informative & an amazing experience in total.
