I would not recommend. The guide wouldn't shake my hand when I introduced myself, didn't really talk to me at all. We had a silent hour ride to the site. I even tried to give him the opportunity to give me an introduction for the days plan, he told me nothing. For a moment i wondered if i got in the wrong car. He told me nothing about the sites, he would tell me they are from "ancient times" "before Mughal". He would point to things made of wood and say "These are wood". No description of when are what things were. I can't even pronounce the name of the city because I never heard him say it, once. I had to Google all the sites when I got to hotel to figure out what I was looking at all day. He did personal shopping on the tour. Spent the car rides on his phone booking plane tickets. He seemed to have very little interest in me, didn't ask where i was from, I don't believe he ever asked my name, I can't remember because I was over it starting from the hour long car ride in silence.I would not recommend this tour, was a waste. The 'Guide' didn't introduce himself, didn't shake my hand when I tried to introduce myself, just silently took me to the car and we had a silent hour drive to the site, which is very akward, for a moment I wondered if i got in the wrong car. I tried to give him the opportunity to tell me the itinerary for the day, or anything, nothing. Took no interest in me, didn't ask where I was from or anything. When we got to sites I received no information, he just told me they were from "Ancient Times" "Before Mughals". I can't even pronounce the name of the city because I never heard him say it... On our tour of the city haha. He did personal shopping on our tour. Was on phone most the rides booking plane tickets. Would point to things made from wood and say "These are wood". Pointless. I had to look up the sites we went to when I got back to the hotel to even figure out what I saw all day. He seemed to struggle with my English, I'm a native English speaker. I would recommend a different more professional tourRecently I had a day trip with my friends at Sonargaon. This is the place where you get to learn about the Mugal Empire's history as well as the Bengali nation's culture and traditions before it was transformed by the British. Had a great experience there so Recommending this place!

I booked a day tour of Sonargaon and Panam Nagar from Dhaka city. They picked me up from the hotel in central dhaka and dropped me back after the tour. The tour guide Shahadat was very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. He explained the significance of each of the places we visited and excelled in local knowledge about the arts and crafts and history of Dhaka and Sonargaon. He even helped me with the bargaining of some nice dhaka traditional fabrics. Definitely would recommend this.Such a lovely old palace and city. Theirs was the best price I saw anywhere for this tour and it did not disappoint 😀 My guide was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed, he even started the tour a bit later for me as I am not a morning person. Thank you for a wonderful day!Tour guide, Charro apparently not aware of what was to be included in price of tour. Charged repeatedly for included items Many hours spent in car, in traffic.
