Yoselin led me on an interesting solo tour of Lima. Her English was very good and she knows the city and its history. I thoroughly enjoy the tour. The traffic in Lima is legendary. Avoid it by walking and taking the express bus.

Julio picked me up at my hotel, and we walked around Barranco seeing the key spots: Bridge of Sighs; and Plaza de Armas Barranco. Then we sped into Lima Central on the Metropolitan bus. We walked from Plaza Grau to Plaza San Martin and Plaza de Armas before visiting the catacombs of San Francisco. We then took the Metropolitan bus back to Barranco and he accompanied me to my hotel. The whole time he was friendly, polite, and full of explanations of what we were seeing. Highly recommended and worth the cost.Excellent tour if you enjoy walking. Excellent tour if you enjoy walking. Julio is an extremely nice guide who did an excellent job of explaining what we were seeing. He was flexible and made sure I saw the things that I wanted to see. We started at my hotel in Barranco with a walk through the area, including the Bridge of Sighs and the Plaza de Armas Barranco. Then we took the Metropolitan bus to the center of Lima and saw Plaza San Martin, Plaza de Armas, and the catacombs of San Francisco. After all that we took the Metropolitan bus back to Barranco and he accompanied me back to my hotel to ensure I found it. Great and nicely tiring day.Our guide was great, she took us to the best places to try the traditional Peruvian meals and buy souvenirs. Her English was excellent and we liked her. If you are visiting Lima you won’t need more than a day to discover the city.

We decided to start our trip to Peru with this walking tour. We only had one full day in Lima as it was far from the focus of our trip (the Amazon and Machu Picchu were) but we wanted to see something of the city. This tour did just that. Joshi took us on a mini-bus bus as well as two train buses to get around (Lima traffic is just plain ridiculous). We walked around Barranco, Miraflores, and the historical centre, saw the main sites, and got great insights from Joshi who definitely knew her stuff. Thoroughly recommended.
