Day 1: Ortahisar - Red Valley
Stop At: Uchisar Castle, Uchisar Turkiye
Uchisar is home to a 60 meter tall castle in a mountain. It is an amazing experience to see this fortress from afar and up close.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Ortahisar, Ortahisar, Cappadocia
In Ortahisar you will get to see the amazing rock cut buildings in the center of the city. Highlighted is the rock cut castle in the center of the city.

Day 2: Goreme Valley - Kaymakli Underground City
Stop At: Fairy Chimneys, Goreme Turkiye
You will have the amazing opportunity to see a natural phenomenon that even the name hints at being 'magical'. These are not just rocks, you will witness how people hand dug into these rocks and turned them into very unique homes.
Duration: 3 hours
Stop At: Zelve Open Air Museum, Zelve Yolu, Nevsehir Turkiye
At this outdoor museum you will have the opportunity to see houses carved in rock along with the Seljukian Mosque and remains.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Esentepe, Esentepe, Kyrenia District
Here you will have a gorgeous panoramic view of Goreme Valley.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Goreme Open-Air Museum, Merkez, Muze Cd., Goreme 50180 Turkiye
Here you will see churches, frescos, and monasteries cut into the famous Cappadocia rock.

Stop At: Kaymakli Underground City, Derinkuyu Turkiye
Explore one of the biggest underground cities in the region. This underground city has around 100 underground tunnels with houses built around those tunnels. Only a fraction of the city is open to the public, but it is a sight that you don't want to miss.

Planning a trip to Cappadocia can be very complicated with all that the area has to offer. Sojourn Turkey Travel made every step of planning seamless. From dinner reservations to transfers and everything in between, Sojourn was amazing! It was a difficult time to vacation in Turkey due to Covid and our group had to do several extra steps to travel from the USA. Sojourn was very helpful in navigating this. Cappadocia was a beautiful area. We traveled with 4 couples. Our Sojourn guide (KÜNT) and driver (Ogoos {sp?}) were amazing!! So knowledgeable and got to know our groups likes and dislikes. We were able to make small changes to our daily tours when we were tired or wanted to switch gears. One of the members of our group had a birthday while we were there. Our driver had a family member arrange for a cake and had it delivered to our restaurant. It was a beautiful cake from a local patisserie. So special! We had to have PCR tests before we left for the next leg of our trip. Sojourn arranged for a nurse to come to our hotel to do our tests and we received results within 12 hours! We felt like we were saying goodbye to good friends when we said goodbye. Thank you, Sojourn!!phyllisschlich
