What to expect
First, we'll walk through the oldest operating marketplace in town. It is a place to be, not only because of the great amount of fresh, local products but also because of its vibrant and unique atmosphere with some great hidden gems! After we buy what we need the most (and also what we can't help but try) we'll have a short walk to my apartment. There you'll be treated to some local snacks and drinks and we will start cooking.
You will know the whole process of preparing pierogi, from dough making, preparing the filling and creating special shapes of the dough, and finally eating! We will prepare pierogi with the most known filling - fresh cottage cheese, potatoes, and caramelized onions.
During the experience, I will share my knowledge of Kraków, Poland, and Polish culinary traditions. I'll give you my personal recommendations of where to go and what to try while visiting Kraków to feel like a true local.
The main goal of the experience is? Food hedonism!
Sample Menu
• Seasonal local snacks - depending on the season, for example, we will try local fresh and smoked cheeses, Polish sausage, sour cucumbers or sour cabbage
• Pierogi - the most know Polish dish - pierogi - with cottage cheese, potatoes and carmelized onions
• Regional alcohol - homemade liquor or selection of best regional alcohol paired with the main dish

We had such a great time with Olga. Going to the market was brilliant; it was Easter so the market was really busy and interesting. Olga described what was happening and pointed out local foods and explained the customs behind them. She bought some snacks of pickles and cheese which were delicious. A short walk to her lovely apartment to make the pierogi. We really enjoyed making the pierogi, and will definitely have a go when we’re back home. Olga was easy going, really friendly and helpful about where else to go on our short trip in Krakow. It was my partners birthday so we enjoyed a few drinks together when we ate our homemade lunch. na zdrowie! My sister and I loved spending an afternoon cooking with Olga at her adorable home in Krakow! We learned new Polish words while exploring the local market and used the fresh ingredients to make traditional pierogi. It is an experience we treasured to celebrate our own Polish heritage, and we have since used our pierogi making knowledge to make dinner for our family and friends back home in Boston! You rock Olga!!!This cooking experience was incredible. We were immersed into the culture of Krakow with the gorgeous markets. Tasted some absolutely Devine foods. This cooking experience was incredible. We were immersed into the culture of Krakow with the gorgeous markets. Tasted some absolutely Devine foods. I had to go buy some of the products to bring home. They were amazing. Myself and my friend, learnt to cook pierogi and were informed of various foods that can make the filling to alternate the food for the seasons. The food was absolutely delicious. Olga had given us moonshine and taught us “ Na Zdrowie!” which we had used going forward in the trip to say cheers as we have done various vodka shots. Olga was able to recommend various activities to do in Krakow from an array of local cafes, and street food to the more tourist aspects. Thank you so much Olga! I would recommend this experience to anyone and would absolutely try it again. I couldn’t think of anyone better to deliver such an experienceI strongly recommend Olga's class. She show me how to shop for ingredients on the local market! Also, she taught me how to make Polish Pierogi I'd love to take her class again!
