This is our very popular 50/50 2-centre private tour, encompassing the historic Old Town of Hoi An with the vibrant modern city of Da Nang. Hoi An and Da Nang can absorb your day with ease so my private tour is a full 10 hours long and includes the beauty of night time Hoi An. We start our tour by meeting at your hotel and a traditional Vietnamese coffee at our favourite coffee shop. Frequent comfort stops are made during the day to freshen-up if required.

At sometime during our day's tour we cross the 3 bridges of Da Nang: Han River Bridge, Tran Thi Ly Bridge and the famous Dragon Bridge which on weekend evenings provides an incredible performance of breathing fire & water!!

Stop At: Con Market, Hung Vuong street, Da Nang Vietnam
the largest wholesale and retail venue in central Vietnam. This place offers great insight into the daily life of ordinary Vietnamese. Feel free to shop here, I will be next to you if you need help – and at least try some more local specialities such as coconut candy or lotus and dried watermelon seeds, and perhaps ending with a favourite local dessert.

Stop At: Lady Buddha, Da Nang Vietnam
One of our most sacred places of worship is the 18th century pagoda of Ling Ung on Son Tra peninsular, Here you will enjoy breath taking views of Da Nang and its beaches, and along with visitors from many countries you will certainly meet groups of rural Vietnamese visiting the pagoda, and can marvel with them at the gigantic 67m tall 'Lady Buddha' statute as she gazes out over the East Sea and Cham Islands in the distance.

Stop At: My Khe Beach, Da Nang Vietnam
My Khe Beach was an area for R&R. Marble Mountains was not immune to the war's effects, so remember to ask your guide about its use during the conflict.

A stunning cluster of 5 limestone & marble hills this is a well known pilgrimage site with peaks, caves, tunnels & temples reached by a short elevator ride.There are great photo opportunities at this outstanding location.

Stop At: Hoi An Ancient Town, Hoi An 560000 Vietnam
Hoi An is an expanding country town surrounded by paddy fields farmed mainly by women in 'conical' hats growing rice, verdant fields full of herbs and vegetables worked by water buffalo and a river where fishermen use methods unchanged through generations. It has beautiful beaches and old port overlooking the East Sea. But the real attraction of Hoi An is it's historic Old Town dating mainly from the 15th-19th centuries, it possessed the largest harbour in S.E. Asia right back in the 1st century. The Old Town is recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and offers our visitors outstanding sightseeing opportunities.
On arrival we embark on our walking tour of this charming Old Town, including visits to temples, old houses with a mix of Vietnamese, Chinese, Hindu, Japanese & Portuguese influences, some dating back to 1780 and not forgetting the famous Japanese Bridge built in 1719. Hoi An is a shoppers paradise and not all are its well known tailors and shoe shops! Look out for Hoi An's famous lanterns which adorn its streets and buildings, these are a good souvenir of your visit here. The Central Market is a perfect choice to see local food too.

Not only did we get a chance to dine at her house, the vegan food she prepared was delicious & very special, which she has put in alot of efforts creating them. Not only did we experience the back alley local food, we also saw the lifestyles, like houses they live in & their livelihood. This long Covid has made some of food sellers to close down & some barely survive. This tour agency also want to help these poor food sellers, who really sell authentic local food, to survive. We really enjoyed our trip to Hoi An and Danang where Xuan Tu Private tours organised the entire itinerary for us and provided all the transportation. Lam, who took us around Da Nang and Hue was very entertaining, knowledgeable and intuitive. He knew exactly what we wanted to see and experience, and we enjoyed very stimulating conversations with him about food, culture, history. He gave us excellent insight into the young people of Vietnam, which helped us appreciate the country at a deeper level. The food tour of Danang was extensive, and excellent, where we got to see authentic places patronised by the locals. Hoi An was lovely to. We had another guide Thomas who was thoughtful and nice, who brought us on a fascinating tour of Hoi An's food. We wished that he provided us with the same in-depth understanding of Hoi An, though. It was also a treat to be brought to Xuan Tu's home - aka Chickpea Eatery - for a taste of homemade vegan dishes. It was an eye opener and a treat. Would recommend Xuan Tu to any friend visiting. Above all though, we really enjoyed spending the day with our guides. We really connected with our guide Lam and throughout the day, we felt like we were spending the day with friends, rather than a first time acquaintance. We had so many meaningful conversations about the history and culture of Vietnam. It was our final tour in Vietnam, and we finished our trip feeling most fulfilled.josyc

I usually do quite a fair bit of research when planning for trips, but I did not have time for this trip. Just did a quick search on Google and found Xuan Tu Tours with lots of good reviews so I decided to go with it. No regrets. Lam was our tour guide for a full day private tour visiting Da Nang and Hoi An. The experience was great from the moment we were picked up at the hotel. The vehicle was clean and comfortable (so comfortable that I felt asleep), the driver drove safely and the itinerary was customized for our pace. Lam is very attentive and caring. The way he took care of my parents has touched my heart. He has also brought us to experience some local food which was amazing. I will definitely recommend Xuan Tu Tours.
