Stop At: Nello & Patrasche Statue, Handschoenmarkt In front of the Cathedral of Our Lady, Antwerp 2000 Belgium
There are lot of statues on this tour, but this one is in our opinion the prettiest. Though most of the local people are not familiar with the story of Nello and Patrasche, it is the reason for many - mostly Asian - tourists to visit Antwerp. Our guides are happy to share its story with you.
Duration: 5 minutes
Stop At: Cathedral of Our Lady, Groenplaats 21, Antwerp 2000 Belgium
We end the tour in front of the majestic Cathedral with some history and curious facts about its construction. To finish the tour, our guides will provide you with plenty of recommendations on things to do in Antwerp to help you plan the rest of your stay.

Luc was an excellent tour guide with a plethora of knowledge. He was brilliant at showing off Antwerp and giving us the knowledge of the great city Antwerp is. One of the best tours I've been on in Europe. A must even if just for a flying visit.

Not sure if it was just the guide or the city, but my hubby and I didn't find the Antwerp tour too interesting (as compared to Legend's tour in Brussels, Ghent and Brugges). Spotting the Madonnas was kinda fun, but besides that, there weren't too many interesting stories or facts learnt about the city and I think because of that, not many people ask much questions either. (Compared to previous tours where there were just so many things to ask about!). I was a lil disappointed because I thought Antwerp was a significant place in terms of WWII's history, so I was expecting a little more war stories, but nothing much was mentioned about that. Also, was kinda expecting to hear a lil more about the diamond industry since its supposed to be the diamond capital, but nothing was mentioned about it too surprisingly. Maybe it's because quite some buildings were bombed during war so what is left are much newer buildings with less history. But in that case, I think more could have been shared about maybe local politics or things unique to the city's current day culture etc. There's a lot more potential to build up this tour more. Group was also way too large with almost 30 people? So we ended up always being quite a blockage for the traffic whenever we stop, which was often in unsuitable areas. We would have skipped this tour altogether unfortunately, although the guide did make an effort and did seem genuinely passionate about the city.We had a lovely tour with Ale. Unfortunately she speaks very fast and not loud enough and it was difficult to hear her, especially when a bus passes for instance. We dicovered she told few mistakes, at least three. We had a lovely tour with Ale. Unfortunately she speaks very fast and not loud enough and it was difficult to hear her, especially when a bus passes for instance. We dicovered she told few mistakes, at least three. The tour is more to present the shops than the history of the city. After legends tours in brugge and Gent that were just perfect, we were very disapointed by this one.I did this free walking tour with Luc on April 28th. It was a great tour highlighting the must sees in Antwerp! At the end of the tour he had recommendations for restaurants etc. Highly recommend!
