We booked the sunrise tour, but we asked (via whatsapp) if we could start at 8 am since we did not want to wake up at 4:45 am to see the sunrise; they were very accommodating and picked us up at 8 am. The tour was from 8 am until around 3 pm or so. We covered the main temples and were exhausted by the end. Our tour guide, his name small mony, was very knowledgeable on the history of each temple and he was an excellent iPhone photographer, which came in very handy. Also, our tour guide led us through the least crowded spots of the temples and we went against the crowds making it easier to take pics and enjoy the atmosphere. He also knew the perfect spots for unique pics. The driver, Tha, was very professional and we were transported in a SUV with air conditioning and offered a cold towel and water every time we got in the car. I could not recommend this tour and tour guide more...it was an excellent experience just get it!!!!!!My husband and I did the 1-day Angkor Wat sunrise tour with (small) Mony and it was a wonderful from beginning to end! My husband and I did the 1-day Angkor Wat sunrise tour with (small) Mony and it was a wonderful from beginning to end! Mony and Mr. Lis picked us up promptly in the morning and drove us to get our temple pass before heading to Angkor Wat. As we were waiting for the sunrise, Mony was great and told us exactly where to stand to get such memorable pictures. Afterwards we went inside and he did a fantastic job explaining the history and tying it into Cambodian today. Also offered took the loveliest photos of us! We went on to get breakfast back at our hotel and then proceeded to the Ta Proehm and Bayon temples. Mony and Mr. Lis were truly the most flexible team and together, they facilitated such a memorable 1-day tour. Thank you so much for a fantastic tour!!We did a sunrise one day tour with Happy Angkor Tours and we were very pleased. We did a sunrise one day tour with Happy Angkor Tours and we were very pleased. Sina and our driver arrived at our hotel early to pick us up with a nice car with water as well. Sina had many insights during sunrise and he went into depth about Khmer history while we took pictures right in front of the temple (in front of the crowds). After breakfast, we met up again and Sina was brilliant in explaining the reliefs/murals at Angkor Wat from Ramayana and what they all meant- not just the historical and cultural context but also reading the Khmer Sanksrit, finding the best locations to take pictures, etc. We proceeded to also see Angkor Thom, Bayon, Ta Prohm, etc- the core temples and whatever else we might be interested in as well. Our tour was comfortably the highlight of our time in Cambodia. My wife and I did the sunrise tour of Angkor Wat with Vanna and could not recommend it more. My wife and I did the sunrise tour of Angkor Wat with Vanna and could not recommend it more. The company was extremely organized and was in constant communication leading up to the tour. Vanna knew all the best spots to get great views and pictures, avoid crowds, and just generally have the best experience visiting Angkor Wat. He was extremely personable and very knowledgeable, adding interesting facts and stories to give us historical/cultural context to everything we were looking at. 100% recommend booking with this company! We were lucky enough to have a wonderful guide (Thien) who seemed to have an endless knowledge of the history of Cambodia and Angkor Wat park. We were lucky enough to have a wonderful guide (Thien) who seemed to have an endless knowledge of the history of Cambodia and Angkor Wat park. We learnt so much and his enthusiasm was contagious. The site is so magical and it almost seems unreal that such incredible building happened so long ago - especially as the civil engineering of sure amazing structures would be seen as innovation today. We visited around 7 temples including the magnificent Angkor Wat. We started the day at 5.45 and after experiencing Angkor Wat at sunrise Thien took us back to the hotel for breakfast - greatly appreciated after such an early start. He then came and we recommenced the tour of more temples - all unique and Thien again astounded us with the stories he told from the history. Thien also proved to be an expert photographer too and we are so grateful for some of the wonderful memories he has captured for us. The driver was also brilliant plying us with iced water and cold face wipes after every stop - it was very, very hot! We would definitely recommend Happy Angkor Tours, they gave us an unforgettable day.
