What to expect
Madeira’s favourable location allows us to cross paths with a great variety of cetaceans. As the majority of these animals are migratory, their coordinates are always different. It is up to our Spotter on land to locate them with the help of binoculars & inform our crew, allowing a gentle approach & close encounters. Our RIB Boat allows us to act quickly, which not only provides higher chances to see cetaceans but also we have more time to keep on searching for other species. Our goal is to show you as much as possible from what nature has to offer!

Lovely boat trip, it was simply amazing to see dolphins up close, to watch pilot whales swim :) Great crew, both the captain and the guide. And a very nice boat, fast and stable. Highly recommended.

Such a great experience, would totally recommend! We first searched for some wales, but as they didnt show, we drove far out and suddenly we were surrounded by several groups of dolphins! It was so magical, and although we kept distance to let them hunt fish in peace, sometimes they came close and were swimming under the boat even! The crew was very friendly and knew lots about the species. The boat trip was itself really fun, and the boat was fast so that we could quickly reach the dolphins that the spotter at land saw. If you get very seasick you should maybe think twice, but you can also ask to not sit in the front. I was happy that I wore warm clothes, since it gets cold with the wind. We did the 15h30-trip and it was so nice being out at sea just before sunset.An amazing trip out, we saw Fin Whales and a Humpback Whale. The guides were knowledgeable and great at helping us spot the whales from a distance. I would not hesitate to book again!

We enjoyed an amazing couple of hours out at sea. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, providing information about the wildlife we were hoping to see. We were not disappointed, we encountered three different groups of dolphins, the first group of about 20 playing around the boat for about 10 minutes. This allowed us to see them swim and dive around the boat, it was a breath taking experience. We'd asked if we could consider swimming along side the boat, Sarah, provided us with a comprehensive briefing, but sadly due to a variety of reasons it wasn't possible during the trip. If we come back to Madeira I'll definitely be booking again with H2o Madeira. Thanks for a memorable afternoon 🙂Wonderful experience to be so close to so many Spotted Dolphins.
