Miguel V. was our driver in a day trip from Lisbon to Sintra including stops at Pena Palace and Cape Roca and Cascais. He communicated well with us about the plans. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. His car was very clean. And he made it a great trip. I would highly recommend Miguel and ToursByLocals. They made our trip to Portugal easy and very enjoyable.

Guide,Carolina,was first class but I preferred the views from the Disney like palace than the actual building tour. Steep walk up but a shuttle bus is available with long queues & an Elevator from inside cafeteria avoids more climbing. Typical long lunch & coffee feels like padding out trip.

I took this trip on my first full day in Lisboa, as the prior day was my travel day and I was fully rested. This tour took us to the town of Sintra, which looks like in recent years has become very touristy. We then traveled around the coastal region of Portugal where we saw the westernmost point in continental Europe, the seaside city of Cascais which has the feel of California or the south of France. Lots of good seafood. We then went back to visit Pena Palace and saw some incredible views. Ines, our tour guide was phenomenal in her knowledge of the area, and was a pleasure to have. I was the odd solo traveler in the group of retired or close to retired older American and British couples, but they were all such lovely people to travel with.

This was a very special tour. The beauty of the historic town of Sintra, Pena Palace's magical mix of architectural and decorative styles and the gorgeous, lush landscapes around them, will stay in our memories for a very long time to come. Cascais was charming and a great place to enjoy a delicious sea food lunch too. Our tour guide Ines put her heart and soul into making the group welcome, safe and comfortable and providing fascinating local knowledge and history in a most engaging way. Thank you, Ines!

My husband and I had a wonderful day visiting and exploring Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Cascais, and the Park and Palace of Pena with three other couples. Ricardo was a great and knowledgeable guide and generous with providing more information and explanations. We had time to explore with our whole group and on our own. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a jacket. Ricardo gave good recommendations for lunch in Cascais. We highly recommend taking this small group tour!

Ines was perfect local guide. Knowledgeable and intent on us learning some things. Pena palace grounds are awesome. Palace itself great from outside but quite crowded inside. Rest of tour was very well done and delightful.

Brilliant from start to finish! Carolina was an excellent guide and driver - we were all so well looked after. The wall walk around the Pena Palace was the most memorable. The whole day was well planned and we would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lisboa and surrounds. Our tourguide Ricardo was brilliant. He has loads of knowledge and is friendly.
