We asked Taste of Porto to create a custom food tour for our group of 6, and it was fantastic. Sergio (our terrific guide) led us through a delicious and wide ranging overview of culinary Portugal from fruit and cheeses to sardines and sandwiches (with, of course, appropriate wines and ports to accompany everything). We booked it to begin mid afternoon, so it became a strolling drinks and dinner party. We enthusiastically recommend Taste of Porto and the kind of cultural experience you can actually chew!

We had a ball with Andre on this tour. We learned quite a bit about the growing craft beer scene in Porto. We enjoyed trying the (many) different beers and the fun places he took us to.

Angelo guided our food tour. He was super relaxed and felt our vibe perfectly. The food tour was more than worth it anyway. But because of Angelo it was one of the (many) highlights of our visit to Porto. By the way, he also gave us a lot of great tips on nightlife in the city (and made some nice pics).

We booked a private food tour with the couple we are traveling with. Andrea was our guide and you couldn’t imagine anyone more knowledgeable, entertaining and accommodating. We visited the Bohlao food market and two restaurants. We had wine paired with each of our seven stops…which included ones for cake and espresso, cheese, fruit, charcuterie, canned fish and then two restaurants, one for sandwiches and the other for cod fritters and tomato rice (really delicious). I am a vegetarian and he made sure to provide delightful substitutes for anything that included meat. Andre regaled us with information, stories and experiences which helped us really understand Portugal. His personal touch made for a wonderful experience which flew by…. We were all stunned that 3+ hours had passed. Highly recommend this experience and if possible ask for Andrea!!

Pedro was an excellent guide. His knowledge of the craft beer scene in Porto was excellent. And the foods that the beer was paired with were really pretty good. I did not care for the wild pig too much. Pedro was fun and energetic. It helps when the people you meet on the tour are just as fun.

This was one the best food, wine, port tours we have ever taken and it's all due to the incredibly knowledgeable and fun guide Pedro. His background is in theater and part of being a performer is being able to read your audience and deliver an exceptional tour. We hit all the best places in Porto - the Balhou Market, the oldest pastry shop - Moura, the best Portugese restaurant - Taxca and wine/port store - Oli. This tour was our first introduction to Porto and it was supper. We highly recommend this tour and we hope you are lucky enough to have Pedro. Salud!

Our family of 4 (including hard to please teens) did the food tour of downtown Porto and Bolhão market and absolutely loved it. The food (and wine!) was all great, portions not too big, walking just right, and our guide Angelo shared interesting information all along the way. We’ve done a few food tours in different cities, this will be one of our favourites for sure. Highly recommended.

This tour was one of our favorite parts of Porto. André was an amazing guide. When my partner and I did the tour, we were the only people so it was extremely personalized. We loved learning about some of the history of Porto, and the local spots and preferences. André also gave some amazing recommendations, and on the tour all of the beer and food was delicious! Although it ls a bit pricey, it’s unlike any traveling experience I’ve ever had and worth every cent. Thank you André and Taste Porto!

My husband, brother-in-law, and I visited Porto in early February and took the Craft Beer & Food Tour. It was the highlight of our time in the city. We got to see some historic streets in downtown Porto as well as the Bolhão Market, all while tasting a variety of beers (with generous pours!) and delicious foods. I especially appreciated the accommodation of my pescatarian diet; the guides had prepared a vegetarian experience for me, but when they learned that I eat fish, they made a phone call on the spot to coordinate my being able to try a cod empada. Our main guide was Andre, whose knowledge of the beers we tasted was excellent. He was very welcoming and did a great job setting the right pace for the tour. Accompanying him to be trained on the Craft Beer tour was Rita, and having her was an added bonus. She brought her knowledge of the city’s history and architecture to the experience, and she and I connected over our love of animals, concern about the need for affordable housing in our cities, and interest in urban planning. Both she and Andre were warm and welcoming. Their dynamic together was wonderful. I enjoyed the tour so much that I’m going to arrange a Taste Porto tour for my parents, who will be visiting Porto soon.

Very nice tour with André!! He loves good food, wine, Porto and the city in the Netherlands, Wageningen. And of course my boyfriends favorite movie lord of the rings. He is passionate about Porto and he’s a super tour guide. Don’t book Miguel. Book Andre 😉🍷🍇

Very good tour with some good and different gastronomic experiences. Only downside was that it was a hot day with lots of walking. Even the guide was wilting.

Visiting four breweries and learning about the history of each was so much fun! Angelo shared background of the breweries and the culture - we loved the food also! Would definitely recommend!

Andre did a wonderful job showing us around Bolhao market and the surrounding area. We had fabulous food. and Andre did a great job of modifying the tour to make sure we got some coffee before we started!! This was great fun, and really exceeded our expectations.

My sister and I wanted to take a food tour in Porto and Taste of Porto did not disappoint! Our tour guide Rita was absolutely amazing! She was super knowledgeable about the food, wine and culture of northern Portugal. No one's questions went unanswered. She was so friendly and upbeat and really helped make the experience as wonderful as it was. There was an amazing range of food to sample and all of it was delicious! It was difficult to pick your favorite food. I will absolutely recommend this tour to anyone I know coming to Porto! Thank you Rita and Taste of Porto for the amazing experience!

Must do if you’re a beer lover while traveling through Porto. Angelo gave me so much insight about the breweries and city. I am a fan of this tour. It’s 3 hours long so be mindful of that.

From the moment we met Angelo, our tour guide (and not to forget Andre his understudy!), we knew that we were in good hands. Our guides were knowledgeable, funny and very enthusiastic which made the 3.5 tour one of the most enjoyable we have ever experienced. The food and wine was varied, delicious and plentiful plus we learnt so much about what and where the locals eat that it set us up well for the remainder of our trip.

Excellent food and wine tasting tour with a great and very knowledgeable host. Would definitely recommend it.

Ricardo was our tour guide - he did not disappoint! Ricardo took us to some local market gems and introduced us to the food and wine history of the region; his passion for the subject inspired us and we would recommend this tour to anyone.
