Escape from the busy city life... a trip to red dunes desert with full of adventures like dune bashing, sand surfing, camel trekking, added with camp activities & BBQ dinner at Al Khayma that reminds the old Arabia!

What to expect
Now it’s time to experience in real, what till now you have only seen in books and movies... the pleasant desert of Arabia!
In the afternoon you will be received by our safari captain from your pick up location. Together we will drive to Lahbab - red dunes desert - in a 4 wheel drive Land Cruiser. At about 45 minutes you will arrive at the destination. Relax in the restrooms there, making use of bathroom facilities... you may opt for a short Quad Bike ride as the Land Cruiser gets ready for off-road desert drive.
Time for adventures... our activities start off with desert dune bashing... after 40-45 minutes of red dunes ride, go for sand surfing (sandboarding) down the dunes. We will photograph these nice moments for you. What follows that is camping at Al Khayma.
Al Khayma desert camp... as you arrive, safari captain will show the slots where traditional activities are done and lead you to a tent (Khayma). Get seated and receive a typical local welcome with Gahwa, Gaymat (Arabic coffee, sweets), Dates, and all.
Now it’s trekking time... we will soon go to Desert Ships that are waiting in the Camel area. Take a Camelback trekking on the nearby desert dunes for 15 minutes. Now as the sunset time comes up we will proceed to a top dune where you can witness the sun setting over the desert. After those refreshing views we will return to Al Khayma where you may rest for a while before camp entertainments begin.
Camp activities... make good use of your free time in camp by trying bedouin specials - dressing up as Arab, posing with a Falcon, tattooing with henna (for ladies), shisha pipe smoking, etc. As those activities conclude, you will be treated with a live Tanoura dance show at the camp’s center stage.By this time your dinner will be ready.
Dinner time... fulfill your appetite with a lavish Dinner of barbecue dishes & salads, followed by desserts. Following this, live performances by the Belly dancer further adds up your excitement.
Stargaze and departure... relax entirely on your own... as the camp’s lights get switched off, watch for the stars in the vast sky. After enough enjoyments, we will take you back to your drop off location.

Additional information
- Not wheelchair accessible
- Please wear sports shoes for safe sand boarding
- It is recommended not to eat 2-3 hours before the safari trip to avoid any vomiting / sickness during the dune bashing, Please note that if your skin is sensitive to henna, then you are advised not to do it.
- Drop off depends of the city traffic and the season sunset time.
- OceanAir Travels shall not be responsible for any kind of loss, accident, sickness or injury. It is advisable that the traveler should avail a travel health insurance as there can be chances of potential risks and hazards. Also, make sure they are mentally and physically able to participate.
- Entertainment activities:- During the holy month of Ramadan you can watch Tanoura and Fire shows only in our desert camps (Al Khayma) as there will be some restrictions for Ladies Khaliji Dance. Other religious holidays as per UAE law i.e. 3rd April, 10 & 31st Aug, 9th Nov etc there will not be any entertainment activities in the camps as its strictly not permitted by UAE law.
- Please note that if your skin is sensitive to henna, it is advised not to do it.
- Pickup will be within 45min prior your selected departure time. Please be ready at the hotel lobby on time
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- Kindly share your Whatsapp number for an easy communication during the pickup
- Rove Dubai Marina & Wyndham Dubai Marina Hotels we don't Pick from Due to massive Traffic on this area But you can meet us at Stella Di Mare which is 750M Away.
- We recommend you have international travel insurance as self-driving activities are prone to risk, leading to serious injury & is covered only by your insurance companies.
- Quad biking is a self-driving activity to be taken at your own risk and the company’s insurance does not cover it.
- Long clothes and jackets are recommended during winter
- Pick-up timing is subject to change due to the emerging summer heat: 1 hour earlier in the morning and 1 hour later in the afternoon. A notification shall be sent in advance in the case of any change.
- By UAE law, pregnant ladies, anyone with back or neck pain, heart problems or other serious medical complaints and infants (under 3 years old) are not allowed during the dune bashing activity by car. (If this conditions are applicable to you, please contact our Consultant to customize your tour)
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 6 travelers

It was even better than we expected. Asif our tour guide was great! He took excellent care of us every step of the way. The schedule of a tour was full of attractions, all of them of very high quality. However, the highlight of the whole evening was excellent food! I was so full that I fell aslee...

Well what can I say! What a brilliant experience the day was with Iqbal as our guide…! The guy is a legend me and my fiancé where celebrating my 40th on this day and he blew us away with expert thrill ride driving skill when sand bashing and general knowledge on Dubai. His guidance on sand board...
Well what can I say! What a brilliant experience the day was with Iqbal as our guide…! The guy is a legend me and my fiancé where celebrating my 40th on this day and he blew us away with expert thrill ride driving skill when sand bashing and general knowledge on Dubai. His guidance on sand boarding helped me make the most out of the experience (naturally as an experienced snowboarder I didn’t fall 😉?!). Most of all Iqbal’s humour was truly special.. especially when he arranged for us to dance if front of everyone at the banquet in the desert which we loved… I’ll definitely do this again and be asking for Iqbal to be our guide! actually everything was perfect...... Camel riding and buggy driving super class. Animals very well cared for, camels were treated very well, stood on komando without stick, have already seen it differently. People all very friendly, whereby I would like to highlight our guide Ansari in particular.
