Stop At: Laguna del Inca, Portillo 2100000 Chile
After your hotel pick up, we set out on an adventure into the heart of the Andes Mountains. Admire the scenic surroundings as we head towards the town of Los Andes. On the way we pass by the Monument to the Battle of Chacabuco, which led to Chile’s Independence. We continue deeper into the Aconcagua Valley and then into the middle of the Andes on a windy road known as “El Caracol” (The Snail), to an altitude of almost 8, 800 feet. You will feel your heart race with excitement as your driver expertly maneuvers sharp bends and curves. Aside from stunning mountain scenery on this tour, you will also be able to see ruins of the Inca Empire where llama caravans stopped to rest after a long trip on the Inca Trail. You will also get to observe the ruins of an intricate route of the Transandino Railway winding between tunnels through steep cliffs. Just miles away from the border with Argentina, we reach our final destination: “Laguna del Inca” (Inca Lagoon). Engross yourself in tales of the lagoon’s legendary past, learning of the myth and history behind this sacred body of water. On the lagoon’s edge is Portillo, the oldest ski resort in South America. Here, you can have a cup of coffee or tea (not included) while taking in the spectacular views of the glittering lagoon surrounded by the peaks of the Andes.
Duration: 3 hours
Stop At: Vina San Esteban, Avenida La Florida 2220 San Esteban, Los Andes 2100000 Chile
Next stop, Viña San Esteban. This vineyard is located on the mountainous eastern edge of the Aconcagua Valley and is a pioneer in hillside-vineyard planting, taking full advantage of the unique combination of rocky soil and solar exposure which creates grapes rich in structure and character. Here, we will have a tour of the vineyard followed by a tasting of their wines. After the winery tour and tasting there will be time for lunch (not included), if you choose, at a rustic countryside restaurant called “La Ruca” meaning “house” in the Mapuche Indian language. This tour is perfect for those wanting to experience the Andes Mountains and Chilean culture!
Duration: 2 hours

My husband and I absolutely loved this tour with Sean! He was a wonderful guide. The tour was everything we hoped it would be and more. The drive into the Andes was beautiful and so different than anything we’ve seen before. The Inca Lagoon did not disappoint, and our timing allowed for us to grab some food and a drink at the Hotel. The winery tour was amazing. We enjoyed actually walking through the vineyard as well as seeing the process and tasting some wines. On our way back to Santiago, we stopped at a restaurant in Los Andes to sample some local Chilean food. Sean gave us some excellent suggestions! We highly recommend this tour with Sean and Chile Dream Tours! This trip was a wonderful experience in the Andes. I have done several tours with Sean and I am impressed by his care, knowledge, kindness and professionalism. He truly makes each and every experience special.

We did 2 different trips with Chile dreams and customised the adventures to suit our needs. Sean was our host and anything we asked for , he did his very best to accommodate it. We were nervous a private tour would be too “full on” being one on one with a tour guide but it was perfect. We are not Spanish speaking so he helped us with anything we needed, whether it was a food order, instructions or general questions.
