We had a great time with Raoul running around the city center. An excellent way to get to know Maastricht in a short time. Our tour was even in English which we appreciated a lot. Next time we might come back to do the bigger tour. Thanks again Raoul!

Raoul was great! We set out emailing Raoul a few days before our trip for a running tour. Then, our family decided we felt like a biking tour instead of running. Raoul was very accommodating... although he would say he prefers running tours, he acted as our private bike guide and was fantastic!!! Raoul is full of great historical Maastricht facts, biking and running trivia, and took us on a lovely route thru Maastricht. Our family (kids ages 12 & 14) has lived as expats in Europe for 2 years now... we have done both running & biking tours in countless cities and Raoul is one of the best!I did this tour with Raoul he told a lot of the city and let me see manny highlights. We also have done the st Pietersberg, with a very nice lookout over the limestone quarry. After almost 2 hours we where back at the starting point. Raoul told me a lot about this beautiful city in a very enthusiastic way. So when you get to Maastricht do not hesitate and book a nice tour! This is a great tour for those that may want to see a little more of the city than while walking. We saw many of the remaining city wall sections, the two basilicas, and many other interesting things. It is a very pretty run through Maastricht, and it was great fun.

My colleagues and I did the running tour with Raoul for a conference activity. Raoul and his coworker were informative and toured us around a lot of the city I wouldn't have seen otherwise. He was very considerate of everyone's pace, stopped for fun pictures, and took us to a bar with many local beers afterwards. Later that week I did another running tour with Raoul along the river to Belgium through the nature reserve and limestone quarry/factory in the morning as well. While I also did a few other local activities throughout the week including the museum, shopping, etc, these running tours were definitely my favorite. I have also done running tours in other cities, but nothing has compared thus far. If you get the chance, take it!and all 4 of us loved it - 2 Dutch and 2 Brits. Raoul was flexible and easy to make arrangements with, and then provided a great tour - showing us places we didn't even know were there, loads of information, good interaction, and all at a pace which suited us. Highly recommended
