The team from On Tales made our experience really enjoyable. We got there slightly early and Susana greeted us. She talked about the experience and introduced us to the other guests once they arrived. The boat is on the small side so made for a more intimate experience as it was just us and two other couples. We saw some really beautiful scenery, the island really takes a whole new scale when seen from the sea and it's so beautiful. We got really lucky and we got to see both a whale species and two dolphin species. The team are really careful when approaching the animals and felt the care and respect they have for this environment so that many others can enjoy it in the future. We ended our trip with a swim and a snorkelling session.. fab Thank you for a great day and special memories.

The tour was amazing and we enjoyed it a lot! It all started with a warm welcome and an explanation of what to expect. The guides were so nice and they guided us troughout the sea. We were on a boat with only four people (excluding the guides), which was also very nice as it was not crowded. On land there was a spotter comunicating with the guides to tell them where the animals were. We saw two types of dolphines! We also went for a but of a swim in the very clear and warm waters. We could jump of the boat which was also fun. Next to that we got free drinks and there were pictures taken of us, the animals and the view. Overall the tour was amazing and we would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a fun and chill time enjoying the waters and the animals in the sea.

It was a great experience, we sag dolphins and wahldebakel and the crew was really friendly. They also collected trash they saw swimming in the ocean and even saved some fish that were trapped in a plastic box. Overall we had a fantastic afternoon!

. I can only say good things about this experience. We were really treated very well: the captain gave us a lot of information and even answered other questions we asked that were not related to the trip. We felt safe and at the same time we were lucky to see the wild life. Susana from the office was also very nice and cheerful and offered us everything we needed. As a conclusion, it is really worth trying this experience with On Tales because they are professionals and know what they do very well.

My wife and I want to say thank you again for this really nice and perfect trip. Everything from first entering the office, to entering the boat were absolutely super. The entire crew was always very attentive and concerned about our well-being. On the trip we saw some whales and the beautiful coastal area from Porta do Sol back to Calheta. We can only recommend everyone to make this 2.5h trip with ontales, here everything is taken into account, be it with the guests and also the animals. From there again many thanks to all of ontales. We had a great time on the tour! As there were only 6 of us it felt like a private charter and it was easy to see the dolphins. The team were great and very attentive, welcoming and friendly. Would definitely do it again!

I had the most incredible experience with the On Tales team! Mayung, João-Pedro and Pedro were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They really cared about every guest and not only showed it on the boat, but offered suncream and hats to wear before we set off to ensure that we were as comfortable as possible. Safety procedures and the likelihood of seeing animals were clearly explained. We were very lucky to see a pod of bottlenose dolphins with a calf, which provided a truly magical experience. The wildlife is given plenty of space and was not chased at any point. The crew were incredibly knowledgeable about the species living in the area and had a lot of information on the island of Madeira itself. I learned a lot! The boat itself was smaller but perfectly sized for the small group of us on board and provided plenty of space to ensure that we were all comfortable. We were offered plenty of cold refreshments during the trip and fresh towels after snorkelling. Photographs are taken throughout the trip and are sent to your email a few hours later, which provide a lovely memento, especially for solo travellers like myself. I cannot recommend On Tales highly enough! The whole experience was flawless from start to finish. If I had the time to do a trip with them every day, I would have! Loved every moment! Seeing the island from the sea was an amazing experience as well as watching the dolphins jump in the water. Emanuel was a great captain, so knowledgeable and a lot of fun.

From the minute we arrived until it was time to say goodbye we had such a fabulous experience. Unfortunately the whales and dolphins weren't playing ball then the spotter had seen a whale and it was at13 minute intervals from below the water to surfacing so we're we looking everywhere but after 40 minutes and very persistent crew we decided to start to make our way back! We were slightly disappointed but obviously you cannot make animals perform, but Emanuel and his sidekick were so consistent and persistent to try and get us to see something, then just before the tour ended we had some more spotting this time of dolphins, and yes you've guessed we say 3 of them Bottlenosed ones such a joy and delight and one for the wife to tick off her bucket list. If you were thinking of booking this excursion then you won't be disappointed the staff on land and the crew were all first class and were we even aloud to drive the yacht without the captain looking to nervous!!! All in all very special experience and myself and my wife would to the say thank-you lots of happy sailing guys love Lee and Kim

10/10 recommend! Everything was great from first to last minute. We were greeted and introduced to the whole journey. On the boat the crew is very friendly and they are trying their best to show you as many animals as possible and taking a great care too. We really appreciated the pictures taken for us that we received almost immediately after the trip - they turned out much better than the ones we tried to take. The whole experience could not have been better! 😍

It was such an amazing experience! See the dolphins in their habitats is so beautiful! The crew was really kind, patient and helpful and now, thanks to them , we’ve known a lot of new things about the ocean!

Great experience! The crew and office staff took care of every detail, and we saw a ton of dolphins!

Fantastic trip. Every single detail was taken care of - they even took photos for us and then sent a follow up email with a list of exactly what we saw. We were only in the water for about 15 minutes when their spotter found a couple pods of dolphins, and we were able to watch them for quite a while before we left them in peace. I was especially glad to see the crew making an effort to pick up any trash we boated past, and they were knowledgeable about the birds as well as the sea life.

We had an amazing time on the whale and dolphin watching tour. Everyone at on tales was so friendly, they lent us spare hats and gave us sunscreen to apply before we boarded. The boat was comfortable and travelled a lot a nice pace so you could take things in. It was only us (4 people) and another couple on the boat, we really wanted a smaller tour that wasn’t crowded and that is exactly what this was. As well as seeing dolphins we also saw a turtle and a manta ray, which was a lovely addition. They were their to take photos throughout and transferred them to us later that day, so we could just relax and take things in and didn’t have to worry about taking our own photos. Something we also appreciated is how we came across rubbish in the ocean a couple of times and they made the effort to go over to it and pick it up so it wouldn’t be left there anymore. They always made sure to point out what we were looking at, both on land and in the ocean. We were also able to go for a quick swim with the option of snorkelling after we had seen the dolphins which was lovely and refreshing. We would highly recommend that anyone interested does this, it is much more intimate than on a larger boat and you can tell they really care about what they do and are there to observe nature, not to antagonise it.

From the moment we arrived it was clear this is a fantastic business with a genuine family ethos. We were welcomed right from the beginning of our visit and taken care of throughout every moment of our trip. This truly is a 5 star company and they really take care to ensure you have everything you need and know that is happening. On board we were lucky enough to see dolphins and a turtle. On the way back towards shore we encountered two very curious Blainesville Beaked Whales. They circled the boat several times and treated us to some excellent opportunities for photographs. It was the experience of a lifetime! Our crew on board, João-Pedro and Martin, were so knowledgable and were genuinely committed to ensuring everyone had a good time. They were so attentive and made sure we had enough to drink throughout the trip and that we were comfortable. Thank you so much to both of them. The photos at the end of the trip were a very nice touch and meant that if you didn’t want to take some yourself you still have a record of your trip at the end! Thank you so much to both of you! Without doubt our highlight of the trip to Madeira. Just wonderful. Seeing dolphins was a once in a lifetime experience. The service was unbeatable.

This experience was definitely the highlight of our visit to Madeira. The crew were so attentive and the small boat with a maximum of 6 guests meant we felt very looked after. I could not recommend more!
