A fantastic trip with great guides, super friendly and knowledgeable. Saw heaps of dolphins up close. Boat crew was respectful of the dolphins space which was great to see. Highly recommend. Took two kids (8 and 9) who both loved it.

We highly recommend! A well organized experience that was well worth the price. There was some inside seating and some outside seating. Plenty of room for all of the passengers. The captain and his assistant were always full of smiles. We were offered something to drink either right away or on the return. Real glasses and coffee mugs were used - no plastic. We visited at least 3 bays and learned about the history from the captain. We saw multiple groups of Hector's dolphins, a few white flippered penguins, fur seals and a variety of birds. On the way back, we were given a delicious cookie. We have been on many nature cruises and this was one of the best!

Our family loved our trip with Akaroa Dolphins and would recommend it to anyone. The crew were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The kids were enamoured with the dolphin dogs, and the marine wildlife was utterly mesmerising. The dolphins came right up to the boat, did dives for us, and we also saw the Pōhatu penguins and fur seals. We were so impressed by Akaroa Dolphins local cultural knowledge with a very thoughtful progressive historical narrative, alongside their commitment to sustainability with no single use plastics, and a percentage of proceeds going to marine conservation. Surely the best tourism operators in New Zealand, bringing the warmth of a small family run business with all the thoughtful details, an absolute world class experience.

This family owned business is one of a kind! Our boat captain and first mate Sarah were fantastic! We even got to spend time with their sweet boat dog, Buster! We saw dolphins, sea lions and magical views! The tour offered a complimentary adult beverage and the absolute best service! In fact it was so good it made our whole family want to move here! If you can pick any tour, pick this one!

Great tour, in a wonderful place. As well as finding the wildlife , they took us all around the harbour with commentary on the local history, and points of interest. The icing on the cake were the complimentary drinks, a cookie, and of course Buster, a friendly working dog who got excited and let the crew know when he heard the dolphins nearby. A very relaxing couple of hours.

We all had the best trip. We saw lots of dolphins which was special. From the first moment we got on board we felt so welcomed. The skipper and crew (and Albie the dog), were friendly, relaxed and had great commentary (not too much) but enough to understand the history of the area. We were very glad that we did this trip. This trip was spectacular! Stu and Ariane (plus Albi the dolphin-seeking hound) were so friendly and informative and made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. We saw lots of lovely Hector's Dolphins, small Blue Penguins and seals, and wove in and out of volcanic structures and caves - it was too short an adventure!

Akaroa Dolphins team were all friendly! It was easy to navigate to the meet-up point and bookings. Commentary was insightful as well. The dolphin spotting dog was also a unique experience. While the dolphins did not stick to our carrier when we went out, we still got to see some of them (still a win).

The skipper knowledge of the area and history and great skill of the boat . Great wine Akaroa bay is beautiful place and the Dolphins cruise was the highlight of our trip,
