Overview
Exotic Fishing Thailand provides freshwater Fishing in Thailand for exotic fish species from around the world . The scenic lake is located in Phang Nga province where Siamese Carp fishing and Arapaima Fishing in Phuket , Fishing in Krabi and Fishing in Khao Sok has never been more accessible.
Fishing includes use of one premium fishing sala, 2 fishing rods, and bait at our 10+ acre lake from 8am until 7pm. Our monster fish include; Arapaima over 360 lbs, Alligator Gar over 100lbs, Mekong Catfish over 300 lbs and plenty of Siamese Carp over 110 lbs.

I suspect there aren't many reviews on here from a woman so I thought I must write and say how wonderful this day was. It was the highlight of our trip. The most beautiful landscape, the lake is so green and the mountains so high... with the most exotic plants and flowers surrounding it. It is peaceful and quiet.... everybody should spent a day here. Mike is the owner of this place in fact he built it. He is, as you would expect, fishing mad, knowing all the tricks and all the stories you expect from a expert fisherman. He's quite a character and he and his wife go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The main building has fridges full of cold drinks and lunch is a real treat, the yellow soft shelled crab curry was utterly delicious. My son and I caught 4 fish in an afternoon - 3 red tailed Amazonian catfish and an Asian catfish... with something like 1500 fish in the lake and hundreds of species, you don't know what you will bring in - it's genuinely exciting... the arapaima feeding in their holding pool (they are the babies only 40 Kilos!!) was awesome too... I can't recommend this place enough. If you are the partner or wife of a mad fisherman and are dreading yet another fishing trip... a day here will be a genuine pleasure.... I believe they have lodges you can stay in and are building an amazing swimming pool etc - it would seem a perfect place to spend a few days. Visited EFT for the second time staying for 3 days fishing and 2 nights accommodation. Stayed 19,20,21st March 2022.Rooms are excellent with great views over the lake and mountains. Visited EFT for the second time staying for 3 days fishing and 2 nights accommodation. Stayed 19,20,21st March 2022.Rooms are excellent with great views over the lake and mountains. This really is a stunning venue. My aim was to catch something everyday and hopefully land a nice Siamese Carp. Within 10 Minutes of starting I’d lost an Arapaima, however 1st fish landed was a lovely Siamese at about 37lb...well chuffed. Went on to land a total of 9 fish on day 1. Including 6 Red tail to 35lb and an Aligatot Gar. Day 2 a little slower got 2 more Red Tails an Aligater gar and 5 minutes before time up at 7.00 off went the buzzer and landed an incredible Siamese carp weighing in at 72lb..over the moon, what a fish. Day 3 started a little slow again,and lost 2more Arapaima,however finished with 2 nice Red tails, 2 Alligator gar another lovely Siamese at 52lb a Salawene at 55lb a 42lb Wallagro Leer,think that’s how you spell it, so another 7 fish on the bank. In total 20 fish landed in 3 days and a few lost. A brilliant stay, can’t wait to go back, if you are thinking of going you will not regret it.Wayne M

I was collected by a taxi 6am from patong the driver was friendly and on time , on a arrival at exotic fishing Thailand I was greeted by Mike and shown a useful video and talked through it I was itching to get out on to this absolutely captivating lake it’s heavenly huge rock face , palm trees and a very well laid out lake Thailands had lots of rain so I anticipated a slow day I caught a redtail and a Asian redtail in the morning the lake was alive with waving araipima but alas not hungry ones my guide was outstanding working tirelessly with fresh and plentiful baits I had breakfast and dinner with soft drinks delivery to my hut quality my day was spend admiring the beauty of this astonishing lake with 5 minutes to go of my trip my rod screamed off at some pace I’d stuck into a good Chao Phraya smiling from ear to ear I landed it in about 40 minutes making my wonderful day complete thankyou mike Bailey joy my guide and all the staff perfect end to a perfect daySteven h

One of my favourite and beautiful places to fish in Asia. Mike and his team could not be more helpful, and the opportunity to catch some amazing fish really adds to the whole venue. Just a gentle reminder that it’s called fishing, and not catching for a reason. There are some slow days, but if you Persist you will get out what you put in...which here tends to be some amazing species of fish from all over. I would 100% recommend visiting, but would also suggest an overnight stay and 2 days fishing to get the best out of it!2ov5

If you want to have the opportunity to catch BIG fish then this is the place to come. Breakfast in the restaurant followed by fishing for 11 hours and dinner back in the restaurant to finish. Amazing scenic setting of the lake with large Arapaima fish rolling on the surface. Po, our guide did most of the work baiting & casting and was forever chirping 'come on fish'. Two hooked and lost (suspected Aligator Gar & Siamese Carp) in the morning with a Salween Catfish (circa 10Kg) arriving at 17.15 and an Arapaima (circa 145Kg) finally arriving after 19.00 in the dark! Once in a lifetime experience at least.Tutnut

Brilliant day out fishing in the amazing mountain sided lake. Enjoyed the Thai cooking lesson too. Caught Albino Pacu and Red tailed cat fish. Our guide was great! Recommended.
