What to expect
Hop on an open-air safari truck and immerse yourself in the Dominican countryside. We begin our day with a visit to Monkey Land. In the tropical jungle, listen to the sounds of nature while keeping an eye out for the cute little squirrel monkeys that abound in this natural environment. Trained staff give you a plate of fruit that you can offer to the monkeys. These cheeky, friendly creatures love shiny objects — hang on to your belongings or they will relieve you of loose items for later play. This is an awesome opportunity to get up close with these lovable, fun little monkeys.
Head to a typical countryside home, where time has stood still. See and experience how the locals live without running water or electricity. You’ll also learn about the history and culture of this beautiful Caribbean island and discover some traditional customs.

Visited Monkeyland, April 11, 2022. First visit to see the monkeys. Our guides Julian and Fabio were great. Very informative and alot of fun. Monkeys were so cute and fun to feed. I didn't realize all the pictures they were taking of us were for sale after the visit. I wish i had noticed that...

I didn't realize all the pictures they were taking of us were for sale after the visit. I wish i had noticed that. We had some personal photos we took of ourselves and our friends. Next time, I will pay more attention. Would do this excursion again.My teen son and I loved the up close and personal interaction with the monkeys. We were given plenty of time and did not feel rushed at any point. The sampling was informative and good portion size - they offered more if you wanted it.
