Stop At: Seronera, Serengeti National Park Tanzania
ALL YEAR LONG
Seronera is an all year round game-viewing capital with impressive populations of bovids and predators which remain even after the spectacular hordes of blue wildebeests and zebras have gone. The endless variety of landscape explains the diversity of wildlife to be seen during a Serengeti Central Safari from the sky.
Duration: 5 hours
Stop At: Kogatende Airstrip, Tanzania
JUNE TO NOVEMBER
The famous Mara River crossing begins around June and comes to a halt in November. It is considered the final crossing as the herds attempt to make their way to this area where the water is reliable and the grass, plentiful.
Duration: 5 hours
Stop At: Kirawira, Tanzania
MAY TO JULY
Around June, some of the wildebeest will have reached and congregated around the Grumeti River in Kirawira - Serengeti’s Western Corridor. At this point, the migration is halted or slowed down as the channels of the river prove difficult to cross.

Stop At: Ndutu Lake, Tanzania
DECEMBER TO MARCH
Between December and March, the migrating herds return to the nutrient-rich Ndutu short grass plains for their calving season. A safari from the sky makes the perfect place to witness one of nature’s most awe-inspiring spectacles.

Stop At: Tarangire National Park, Tarangire National Park, Arusha Region

Enjoy a serene morning flight over this majestic park as you gaze down upon utopian baobab trees that tower up to 100 feet high. As you soar the skies of Tarangire, you may even spot some indescribably beautiful leopards and herds of elephants.

My mum booked this experience for my brother and I and I can honestly say that it’s one I’ll cherish forever. Being in the Serengeti itself is mindblowing and it’s difficult to imagine a way to elevate that experience but Miracle Balloon Experience Safaris did just that (pun not intended). I’ve been on a balloon safari before with a different company in Tarangire some years ago and while that was fun, everything pales in comparison to my time with Miracle Balloon Experience Safaris. I despise early mornings so the early start made me skeptical initially but it was more than worth it. From the wonderfully knowledgable guide to the modern, spacious safari car that picked us up just before dawn and transported us to the launch site where we were welcomed by a lovely team who supplied us with some much needed coffee to the simply stunning balloon safari we were taken on by the lovely flight crew all the way to the incredible breakfast we were given - this experience was more than worth the early wake up time. We had a really delicious bush breakfast and they even made my mum a truly scrumptious chocolate cake as a surprise for her birthday. The loo with a view (you have to be there to understand it) made me laugh but I actually spotted a few giraffes so the safari really is constant. I also managed to purchase a really warm and stunning green miracle balloon coat which I’ll definitely be wearing a lot now that I’m back in the UK. While the facilities like the glass-floored balloon were top notch, I’d have to say that what really pulled it all together was the truly pleasant staff and their impressive attention to detail. It’s one thing to have great facilities, but to have to complemented by a team of staff who seem to truly love and care about their job is another thing entirely. From the guide, David, who picked us up in a miracle vehicle….on what was a “night drive” to the balloon launch site ….we saw lions, buffaloes, hyaenas….to Barry, our pilot and the crew …. All a great, warm and super friendly team! So much information relayed to us by Barry with his great sense of humor added to the lovely experience we had. Indeed it was magical up there as the sun rose over the vast unending plains teeming with wildlife. A different perspective, a different experience, silent balloon and we felt very safe. Miracle balloons are “different” …. They have Glass floors, modern baskets with binoculars, and the breakfast too was superb! Their “loo with a view” is indeed a super touch as is every little detail you will see that Miracle has - which “must” be experienced…. This makes it truly a “miracle experience”. An absolute must addition to any safari itinerary!!Shanepandit09
