A beautiful stop at a lake for coffee and pastry Ecuadorian style, a lovely hike to a beautiful waterfall, and shopping and a delicious lunch on Otavalo. Daniel was an excellent tour guide! We had a great day with him. Our group was my girlfriend (Spanish only), my parents (English only), and myself (bi-lingual) and he made sure that we all participated in the conversation and had fun. His English is very good. His enthusiasm and passion for showing off his country are second to none. He knows so much about the local history and culture that even though it was my fifth time in Ecuador, I still learned a lot! I would give him 6 out of 5 stars if I could. We did two day trips with Daniel to Otavalo and Mindo which we had organised in advance of arriving in Ecuador through email and WhatsApp. Daniel was very friendly and spoke excellent English. He provided a lot of interesting information about the history and culture in Ecuador as we drove. The trips were very well planned with a number of interesting stops and good lunch spots. He had contingenies in place when a road was blocked to ensure we still got to experience everything that was planned! Would highly recommend Daniel to anyone looking for personalised and enjoyable tours in and around Quito!Prior to choosing this tour we were very dubious about all 5 start reviews but went ahead scheduled a trip. Prior to choosing this tour we were very dubious about all 5 start reviews but went ahead scheduled a trip. We are so glad that we did!! Daniel is extremely knowledgeable and his love for his Ecuador, and sharing with others, comes through. He not only shared the history but honestly, and thoughtfully, answered all our questions about current events. He had lots of little personal touches (like roasting the coffee beans himself) and is a very safe driver. We had a lovely day with Daniel and would love to tour with him again in the future.I am a solo traveler and I booked the Otavalo and the Mindo tour. It was absolutely amazing. Daniel is a very good guide, he was amazing! He is kind, respectful, funny and very knowledgeable. I have nothing negative to say. I recommend it at 100%
