Picking up at Beijing capital airport (or from a hotel) based on your given flight details. Your guide will hold a sign with your name while waiting right outside the baggage claim. Upon meeting, driving straight from Beijing Airport to the Great Wall at Mutianyu (1.5 hours drive)-the prettiest secti on in Beijing.
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Mutianyu Great Wall, Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing China
After arrive at Mutianyu Great wall, you can either hike up or use the most popular way to go up to the wall by cable or toboggan chairlift. After accompanied hiking with our guide on the wall for 1-2 hours or so (you can decide to stay on the wall longer or shorter depending on your energy), then drive back to the airport. Lovely tour ends.

- The tour last about 5 hours, plus the time(2 hours) to get out of airport and the time(2 hours) to catch flight, so it requires at least 9 hours layover time(between two flights) to make this tour happen.
- Visa Process: 1) Arrive in Beijing and get off the plane. 2) Follow signs to baggage claim, then you will find China immigration inspection. 3) Apply 24-144 hours visa(fill out a long white form beforehand) 4) After get visa, walk back to the regular line for immigration clearance. 5) Walk outside baggage claim to find your driver. 6) Driver will hold your name sign outside baggage claim.
- If you are not able to go through customs for any reasons, please take your own responsibility. There is no refund for the same day cancellation

- Mutianyu Great Wall is closed now due to coronavirus, so we will take you to see wild Great Wall instead during these days. And we will arrange Mutianyu Great Wall tour again right after it's opened.

- The tour would be about 7 hours if you would start from Beijing Daxing International Airport, so it requie a layover at least 11 hours between two flights.

My family and I had a 12 hour layover and we took advantage of this offer. As soon as we landed the steps and instructions given were precise and we moved smoothly to meet Tony exactly where he had told us he'd be. He whisked us away in a nice, clean and spacious SUV for our 1.5 hour drive to The Great Wall. We felt warm and safe and excited. We had flown from our long visit in Southeast Asia and were not prepared for the cold weather in Beijing. Tony had warm coats for all of us and we stopped to pick up gloves and hats as we were starting the tour. Everything went according to plan and then we were on the lifts to get us to the wall. Tony was very accommodating with all our questions and requests. He helped us get the best photos at the best spots for memories of a lifetime. We finished the climb with the fun toboggan ride down ...which was an extra bonus for my teenage son. :) He also took us to a tea ceremony where we got to taste some incredible teas. Once finished with our tour and back in the car, Tony took us to a local restaurant for noodles for lunch and to warm up before heading back to the airport. Once at the airport, before our good-byes, he escorted us in to make sure we were at the right place to continue our flight.... with plenty of time. The most memorable experience!!!! We flew in from Thailand at 0400 and had a 13 hour layover. Our guide David arrived promptly at 0630 and the specified location after we applied for a 24 visa at the airport (easy even at an early hour). We left the airport for the 1.5 drive to the wall. Being early, we were one of the only ones at the wall when it opened around 0830. We spent a couple of hours exploring with David. David was incredible. He was knowledgeable and welcoming. We even requested to stop for a quick lunch on the way back and had a delicious lunch which beer anything from the airport. I can’t say enough about how easy this quick and easy this excursion was for our group. There was great communication and everything was efficient. Thank you for the memories!rahulcool1305

I would recommend this tour to anybody who happens to find themselves with enough time to spare while in Beijing on a layover. Just read the pick-up location information carefully and be patient when trying to find your guide. I was not careful and got in the wrong taxi the first time around (my phone wasn't working, he tried to contact me) but Jim waited for me and everything worked out in the end.639briannab

If you have a long enough layover in Beijing, this tour is a MUST! We were provided step by step instructions on how to obtain a 24/144 hour visa free permit at the airport, and it was surprisingly VERY easy! Our flight was slightly delayed, but upon arrival and going through immigration at the airport, our personal tour guide, Michael, was waiting for us! Michael was AMAZING! He had warm coats and waters waiting for us in his car. During the drive he told us all about the country, history, and The Great Wall. He took care of everything once we got to the wall and we rode the cable car to the top. While on the wall, he took advantage of every photo op and captured the BEST pictures of us. We had a smooth ride back to the airport in time to get a meal and relax before our next flight! We made memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you!Ksands93

The tour was super well organized, my guide was wonderful, and I had plenty of time to get back to the airport for my flight. I would highly recommend this tour if you have a long layover in Beijing!
