Stop At: Bibi-Heybat Mosque, Baku Azerbaijan
The Bibi-Heybat Mosque is a historical mosque in Baku, Azerbaijan. The existing structure, built in the 1990s, is a recreation of the mosque with the same name built in the 13th century which was completely destroyed by the Bolsheviks in 1936. The Bibi-Heybat Mosque today is the spiritual center for the Muslims of the region and one of the major monuments of Islamic architecture in Azerbaijan.

Stop At: Gobustan Rock Art, Gobustan Settlement - Garadagh District 60 km South of Baku, Qobustan 1080 Azerbaijan
A national historic landmark and a World Heritage Site, Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape preserves ancient stone relics, rock carvings, and mud volcanoes. Located on the Greater Caucasus mountain ridge, the reserve shelters more than 6, 000 engraved images of prehistoric lifestyles, hunting, and animal and plant life, dating back between 5, 000 and 40, 000 years.

The temple in its present state was constructed in the 17th-18th centuries.

Bravo and 5 stars to Orhan who provided a wonderful tour and great insight to life in Azerbaijan. Orhan is a fantastic guide, his English is excellent, and most importantly he is truly customer oriented and kind. He goes out of his way to help the guests and make them feel comfortable. The guides at the sites (Rock Museum and Fire Temple) were also very good and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend the tour and Mr. Orhan. Only constructive feedback - remember COMFORTABLE shoes. The mud volcanos can be a bit slippery, so if you have mobility challenges, just be careful. Also, bring some cash or card for the entrance tickets to the museums, (in case you leave wallet and valuables behind for safe keeping). I wish I had more time in Baku and Azerbaijan - I would book more tours with Mr. Orhan. THANKSnadjaz2016

Alles bestens! Wir haben uns von Flughafen abholen lassen und anschließend am Abend die City Night Tour gemacht. Diese ist sehr zu empfehlen und die Stadt mit ihren Lichtern ist beeindruckend. Weiterhin haben wir die ganztägige Gobustan und Absheron Tour gebucht. Auch diese hat uns sehr gut gef...

Weiterhin haben wir die ganztägige Gobustan und Absheron Tour gebucht. Auch diese hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Vor allem die Fahrt mit dem Lada zum Schlammvulkan! Unser deutschsprachiger Guide Saki war sehr freundlich und hat uns alles ausführlich erklärt. Der Lunch mit den typischen Speisen war sehr lecker und zum Abschluss gab es noch einen Tee. Alle Fahrten fanden im komfortablen Mercedes Vito statt.jackifm
