7:40 am: Arrival at parking lot + Briefing by guide
9:30 am: Arrival at beautiful Humantay Lake to enjoy the calmness and beautiful nature. Later you'll get to see the lake from diverse lookouts, best for pictures and videos.
11:00 am: Head back to the car

- Not wheelchair accessible
- Minimum 2 people in order for the tour to take place
- Bring your backpack, a rain cape and layers of clothes so you'll be warm
- Take gloves, a hat, hiking shoes + extra socks with you (in case of snow)
- Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and some extra money
- Pack some snacks
- Not recommended for travelers with back problems
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- We highly recommend at least 24 hours of acclimatization before doing any of our tours in Cusco

At first I was hesitant because the price of this tour is so much more than others however, getting there before the crowds is a huge positive. You can hike up at your own pace and it's a lot more peaceful allowing you to take in the landscape. On the way down you see the size of the crowds and I'm so glad we were them. When we arrived our van was the only one in the parking lot and when we left the parking lot was full including one large sized bus. Our tour guide Solange was great and allowed us to hike at our own pace.MerlH4

He was fun to talk to, extremely knowledgeable and helped us really appreciate the experience! The hike is definitely challenging but so worth it! Exploor picked us up very early from Cusco - but it was so worth it, we were the only ones hiking on our way up and had the lake all to ourselves for our entire time up there! The trip was organised perfectly from start to finish! We were collected at our hostel at the exact time given and our journey to and from the lake was very comfortable. We had the best tour guide Darwin, who made sure we had a great experience. He took amazing photographs and brought us around the lake to all the different viewpoints. He ensured our day was enjoyable! The food was also really good in a really nice setting. This was a really enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is hoping to visit Lake Humantay!!nikitah966
