Knowledgeable crew got us in great position to see the whales numerous times as the whales move. Learned to watch the seagulls to know when the whales were about to surface doing their bubble netting. Very enjoyable excursion

Got a ton of pictures, one whale even swam under the boat and surfaced just on the other side, not 20 feet from us. The crew was so nice and engaging. I will do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you our crew James, Greg and Kacie!

The tour was amazing and informative. Captain Mark, Guides Kristen and Kacie were in total control. They knew where to go to give us the ultimate whale watching experience, in addition to sharing their extensive education on Alaska's marine life. This tour was worth every penny, the memories and pictures we came away with are priceless!

Wonderful experience. Boats are modern, well maintained, and fun to be on. The guides and company are top notch. Everything ran on time, the whales were out and about, and all in all we had a great time. When picking a whale watching in Juneau, there are lots of options - but this is by far the best one.

This was a dream come true for me and I can officially scratch it off the top of my bucket list! (Even though I’ll probably come back and do it again ;) **Pro tip: Bring binoculars!!!

Unbelievable experience! James Steph and Monica were an incredible crew. Captain James was able to find us not one but two pods of Orcas! A transient and a resident pod in the same area. The experience was unforgettable. I would highly recommend this amazing company.

Wonderful trip! The bus driver told good stories on the ride out, and the boat crew was funny and helpful. We saw multiple whales, multiple times, even one that was feeding so we could get photos of it with its mouth open. We also saw Mendenhall Glacier while cruising from one whale sighting location to another. I had originally booked the whale watching + glacier tour. About a month before my trip, the tour office called and told me they didn't think they could actually take my money for that in good conscience because, in October, it would be dark by the time we finished whale watching and wouldn't really be able to see the glacier. I know other people on our cruise were taken to do both, and I can only imagine their disappointment. But not with Alaska Tales. They are nice *and* ethical. I truly appreciated their honesty in what we could and could not do in a short visit in the later afternoon in October (cruise docked at 2:30 pm).

This was the best whale watching tour! So affordable and an amazing crew. Captain James, Greg, and Monica were all amazing. We saw a baby humpback breeching and playing with him mom, then a group of orcas. The boat kept us protected from the wind and also provided great views. It was all around perfect.

Lovely setting and team tried their best to find whales throughput trip which we got to see, I would say value for money vs whale watching trips I have done previously was pretty bad

Captain James, Greg, and Monica were AMAZING! They were so knowledgeable and helpful. We saw breaching baby humpback whales AND Orcas. We had the best time!

This was an amazing trip. Found due to cruise excursions being sold out, this was much better and less money. Saw lots of humpback whales. Captain Mark, Steph, and Kaycie made the trip go so fast-taking us to see whale after whale after whale. This trip definitely exceeded my expectations.

We had a great time on this tour with Mark, Monica, Kristin. It was a short ride from downtown to the port via their provided shuttle. At the port, it was a short ride to the area where we would see the whales. The crew gave us great information about the whales, and the boat went to a few different spots to ensure that we could spot the whales. We were able to see a mom and her calf! Great experience, and would recommend Alaska Tales for whale watching tours.
