Outstanding tour, and exceptional tour guide, Stephen. Leaving our camp at 08:10am and drove down towards Milford Sounds with multiple pit stops with stunning views. Stephen had lots of knowledge, fun facts and great stories. Boat trip was amazing, and very scenic, with lots of waterfalls. An hour to explore the town, optional add-on for a helicopter tour. We didn’t do ourselves but definitely should off! Overall amazing customer service, with a great experience highly recommend.

Our guide Stephen was excellent! We had a small group of 10 people which made it very personal and memorable - the scenery... Spectacular. Lovely lunch included. Highly recommend!

Perfect organized tour. Enough foto stops, cool bus and ship tour. Our tour guide Sasha made a super job and she told a lot about the surrounding nature and added very interesting facts of movie making experiences (e.g. Lord of the Rings, Mission Impossible, ...). Addionally she added personal details about her life here in Fjordland where she was born and still lives.

Collection from hotel, comfy mini bus. Lots of interesting stops on the way. Boat was v good as wasnt full. Free tea and coffee on mini bus and boat. Really enjoyed the trip and fantastic scenery would recommend.

After looking at larger group trips, we finally chose, to our great advantage, Fiordland Tours. Picked up directly from our accommodation, we were comfortable and well cared for through the entire journey. Our local guide’s (Sasha) commentary was insightful, entertaining, and flawlessly delivered. She had a welcoming spirit, was a skillful driver, and created a first rate experience. We stopped for several small hikes and morning tea was delicious and thoughtfully served. Our boat was ample for the size of the group, with plenty of room for viewing. We will be recommending Fiordland Tours to all our friends heading to Milford.

What a day! We thoroughly enjoyed our Fiordland Tours Milford Sound experience, beginning with an unexpected chauffeur drive by Ray to join the rest of our small group tour ably led by Stephen. Even though the weather was overcast, misty and cool it added to the moodiness and mystery of the Sound. Making new friends (from Canada) made the day even more special. If you're looking for a quality Milford experience - look no further. Ray, Leonie and their amazing team of driver/guides will bring the goods.

We were picked up in the morning and greeted by Tania, who was friendly and had a great sense of humour. Tour was great and with the lovely local experience of Tania, there were changes to our itinerary to ensure we maximise the time and we saw scenery at its best. I would say this tour was all about quality rather than quantity which is what I choose over any day. Tania was very knowledgeable. Cruise was great, as it wasn't too packed. The packed lunches were great, the sandwiches weren't just any boring sandwiches, it was quite gourmet and the flavour was so good. We ordered all 3 (ham, chicken, seafood) as we were travelling in a group of 6. It had a piece of fruit, a piece of local cake, Whitmans chocolate bar, and a fancy juice. Great value and was so filling. As a bonus, we even got fresh scones for our morning tea which was perfect with a hot drink and beautiful scenery. Overall, great experience and a must do when you are in the area.

A great day out! Although the showers were starting as we left Te Anau the Mirror Lakes were reflective and atmospheric so got some great photos. By the time we reached Milford Sound the rain had set in but everyone says you should see the Sound in the rain - and it was magnificent, with waterfalls cascading down every rock-face! So the boat trip was amazing. Jonno took us to places where we could really appreciate water in nature - waterfalls and cataracts absolutely pumping, and wet but beautiful tracks through the forest . Jonno is a knowledgeable guide to this area and he kept it interesting and informative all the way. Thank you Fiordland Tours for a memorable Fiordland experience.

The Full-Day Milford Sound tour was fantastic! The views from the boat were absolutely incredible! The boat wasn't too big or too crowded - we could easily move around to take in the views from different vantage points. Even the bus ride, which was long, was very enjoyable. Our driver had lots of interesting stories and we stopped several times for more gorgeous views.

As a world traveler I write many reviews. I often have to work hard at describing my experience but in this case - if you just read all the other 5***** reviews, you will know what an awesome experience this is ….especially if your guide is Tania. It was an awful weather day (rainy, windy) but the most spectacular day filled with memories that we could not capture on camera. As we stood in one location - it was like being in a theatre with 360 degree views — in our case with a rainy day, that meant waterfalls all around us - breathe taking. But no matter what your weather, this trip, with this company will be an experience - a positive one - that you will never forget.

This full day trip was amazing! We were picked up at 8am by a very friendly Tania and spent around 3 hours travelling to Milford Sound. We stopped at numerous scenic stops with time to take great photos and for Tania to tell us all about the history and nature in the area. A coffee/tea stop with date scones was appreciated. We arrived with plenty of time to catch the 11.45am 2 hour nature cruise. We spent two hours cruising the Sound with and saw some great sights. Back on land, Tania drove us back to Te Anau with more stops along the way. We got up close to several kea and wekas - a highlight. This was a fantastic day made perfect with Tania's fun and friendly manner, along with huge local knowledge and expert driving. Her passion for this area was clear to see. The small bus group is definitely the way to go. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see Fiordland.

The guide was great ,very knowledgeable around the local area and in geology. The boat cruise was great. Lunch was ok could be improved wasn’t that substantial. Even though it was a great day I really don’t think it was value for money it was quite expensive fir what we got

The trip was really cool, we’ve seen many nice spots. Our guide, she was super nice and funny. The lunch box was on, but a bit expansive. In total you could go the way with your own car as well, but wouldn’t get that many information.

This really was every bit a 5 star experience. We were picked up at our accomodation at 8am and dropped back there again at 5.30pm. Our host and bus driver, JB, was very knowledgeable about the area and provided great commentary, as well as being great company. The morning tea and lunch provided was fresh, tasty and substantial. The tour group was small giving us plenty of room to move around and get great photos on board the boat, and Milford Sound is just magnificent! The trip to and from the Sound was awesome too, with lots of stops giving the opportunity to see some special places along the way. Thank you to Fiordland Tours for providing us with a special day and memories which will stay with us for a very long time.

Had a fantastic day our guide Jonathan would have to be the most knowledgeable tour guide we had ever encountered. On this tour you don't only get to experience the boat ride on the Fiord but you have a very informative drive to the boat with Jonathan excellent knowledge and commentary along the way. Great Day !!

I was so glad I booked this trip. Our guide Tania was amazing, she was so warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. And she baked us the best date scones. We got to have lots of stops throughout the national park, and the boat cruise was on a smaller boat too which was great. We were even lucky enough to see dolphins, and the timing of our boat was great as we avoided all the coaches from queenstown. Overall a great day!

What a fantastic tour. Our guide, Tania, was amazing - informative, fun, friendly, and she made sure we got to stop at the best places for views, including stopping again on the way back when the cloud had lifted. The cruise was beautiful, and the landscape throughout the whole day was absolutely amazing. Morning tea was provided, and the optional picnic lunch was awesome.
